    @MK0180: Argghhhhh!! Congratulations!!

@marionberry: I shouldn't say this (but I can't help myself 'cause I'm super excited for you), because I don't want to get your hopes up, but lack of sore breasts was a symptom for me too.

@ChuckNorris: I did - and it sounds like you are just around the corner, ovulating on your own!

@ladybee: That is super awesome. I'm glad that the RE confirmed that your regular doctor was a jerk. Your plan sounds exciting!

@Jennimac: the waiting stinks so much! Good luck!!!

@Grace: oh man..you excite me but I'm going to try and forget you just said that so I don't get my hopes up. How are the pregnancy symptoms going?

  4. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: That's great that you found an RE you like! Hope the Femara does the trick!

@kentuckygirl: The suppository thing gets kind of uncomfortable throughout the day, doesn't it? Today I finally decided to forget the liners, I need pads. It actually feels like I am peeing myself!

@derevival: It definitely feels like a lot going into it, especially if you haven't done the injections before! We only did the IUI to figure out the meds; no one actually had a whole lot of hope that it would work. It may sound weird but I kind of appreciate that my RE never promises that anything will work or that I'll have great results. But it was definitely helpful in terms of getting a routine down and learning to speak up! What are you feeling most anxious about?

I am dreading having to drag myself back tomorrow morning for another u/s and b/w!

@marionberry: You're right, I never said that. It's going well. Nausea but no puking. Do you have any bloating? That's the one symptom that I got very early.

  6. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Grace: No bloating yet. Glad you're not puking. I never puke and I've puked twice recently...the first because I took a prenatal on an empty stomach and the second because I took doxycycline on an empty stomach before my hsg. I'm praying I bypass puking as a pregnancy side effect. It sucks!

@marionberry: Yuck. I hope you don't have to take anything else without food. I had that happen after my wisdom teeth were out T3 without food. Bad bad idea.

@Grace: Congratulations!!!!!!! How did you get KU?! Naturally? Clomid? IUI? I suppose I could look back but I went back several pages and couldn't find it!!!! Fail on my part.

  9. ChuckNorris

    apricot / 368 posts

@marionberry: Are you going to test at home before then? 4 days away!!!!! Squeeeeeee. FX so tightly for youuu!

  10. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@ChuckNorris: Thanks! I seriously have no idea. I was told that we wouldn't get into the fertility clinic until at least April, so last month I kind of gave up. Didn't pay attention to fertile times, or sex position or elevating legs or preseed or anything (and ovulated late for the first time in a year). Just proves that I actually have no idea how this works (and yes - I refuse to believe that it was because I "just relaxed" )

@ChuckNorris: Nope. Intent to try to make it to our RE appointment.

@grace @spaniellove @kentuckygirl @marionberry @chucknorris @jenimac and anyone I may have forgotten: Thanks It was so nice to start 2013 with some good news. He was so confident that it made me have hope again. @grace: sadly, I told my mom, him telling me I was of normal weight may have been my favorite part

He is giving me the option between staying on clomid or switching to fermara and I have no idea! What do you guys think? Whats the difference? He mentioned the fermara because on clomid I am so crampy and my cycsitc acne flares up. Plus I've been really hot.

@Ladybee So glad the appt went well and you're feeling positive! I've heard some good things about Femara, that it is a little easier on the body than Clomid...might be worth a try!

  15. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: Maybe the Femara? Just because I've heard of so many people switching from Clomid to Femara - because of the Clomid thinning their lining, giving them side effects, not working, etc!

  16. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

Has anyone else ever tested out their trigger? I'm at 7 days post trigger and this line hasn't budged in days. I've heard it takes 6-7 days, 10-11 days...all I know is I'm glad I didn't just randomly POAS.

  17. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: obviously I didn't test mine out but I read about ten days on average. Then if you know the dose amt of your shot there's supposedly a formula for how many days it takes or something. I think I read that on an old board here so maybe search?

@spaniellove and @kentuckygirl: I'm kind of dreading the progesterone suppositories. Sounds like I'll need to stock up on the liners while I'm using them. One question I have, can you still BD while taking them? Is it just a mess or do they dissolve enough to make BD still pleasant? Or are you both abstaining since the IUI?

@sweetooth: You can if you time your suppositories right or your DH uses a condom. I do mine between 9-10 am and pm, so the only time I could imagine BD is just before the next dose, and only if (TMI here) everything was...cleaned off and cleaned out. It's a large tablet that somehow turns into both solid discharge and gushes of something. Somewhere I read to use a wet wipe, which is good advice. When I complained to the dr today, he said it's not as bad as the PIO injections.

@Mrs.Someone: Stay strong! Saturday is almost here!

@Ladybee: Happy to hear you had a good experience with your RE. I'm taking Clomid for the first time now, but I will be curious to hear how Femara works for those trying it. My cystic acne has flared up, but I didn't know if it was the Clomid or just my period and the holiday stress. I'll keep an eye on that. If you try Femara you'll have to let me know how it works out for your skin. The cystic acne flare ups makes me miss BCP!

@grace: I love that you didn't say it was because you "just relaxed" Although, it does sound pretty relaxing to just let all of this go and forget about it!

@justdarling: Sorry to hear about the crazy short cycle and not ovulating. That would totally throw me for a loop! Hope things go well with the injections and lining thickening efforts!

@Mk0180: It makes me happy that you got your BFP on the first round of Clomid Congratulations!

  22. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@spaniellove: Thanks for the details and advice! I see what you mean about the timing. I just don't want the progesterone to ruin our sex life. It's already hard enough to make this all seem normal and not timed/pressured. Last thing I need is to make that area unpleasant! And if you get pregnant you have to keep using them for a while, right? Ugh, dreading it. But thankful that I can ask you about it - oh, and injections do sound worse!

  23. TheReelDeal

@sweetooth: Have you tried giving up dairy to help with the cystic acne? I've had pretty bad cystic acne but a few weeks after giving up all dairy, it's calmed down quite a bit.

  24. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@TheReelDeal: I've never tried that. I think it would be hard for me to cut dairy out of my diet. But seeing as though in my lifetime I've been on countless meds, accutane 2x, etc. and I'm still breaking out - giving up dairy might be something worth trying. Glad to hear it's worked for you!

  25. kentuckygirl

    pear / 1786 posts

@spaniellove: I still saw a faint, faint line once at like 10 days past trigger. At least you know it's still the trigger since you have been testing.

  26. kentuckygirl

    pear / 1786 posts

@sweetooth: if you want to BD, do it before you insert the progesterone.

  27. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@sweetooth: my cystic acne has been horrible going off nuvaring. I've tried cutting out dairy and it didn't help much but I don't eat a lot of dairy. I know mine is all hormonal since it gets worse the longer I'm off bc. I hope it's better on Fermara but I don't have a lot of hope. Ill let ya know though!

  28. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@ladybee: if it's bad off of BC do you think it will get better once you're pregnant? If so, that'd definitely be an upside lol.

  29. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: has your hcg trigger tested out yet? Any symptoms?

  30. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@marionberry: It's really really faint at this point, just about gone. My boobs are sorer than ever but I think it's the progesterone. You?

  31. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: My nipples have been really really sore. Oh and today extremely emotional...like bawling multiple times. But like you, it could just be progesterone. My temp went down today so I've lost what little hope I had yesterday.

  32. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@marionberry: Aww, don't rely on the temps! You know they mean so little and could be affected by the most random thing. There's always the option of POAS if you can't wait until Monday!

  33. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: I know...but since I haven't tested out the trigger I wouldn't really know if it was just still there or if I was really pregnant. I'm just anxious for the next day and a half to pass so that we can find out for sure. I go to work right afterward, so I'm really hoping it's a positive, or else my coworkers might not want to be around me, lol.

  34. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

Bah, what a week its been. I've had a cold, 3 nose bleeds (probably cold related), a migraine, and BFN + AF. ILs have left and I'm ready to go back to normal starting Monday!

I'm not terribly bummed that this month didn't work out. September wouldn't be my top choice in months to have a baby (though I'll take anything I can get!) Also, my naturopath said I should skip December anyway. So onto January, cycle 11

Hope we get some new graduates in here soon!

  35. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs.Someone: I'm sorry this cycle didn't work out. I hope next cycle brings much better news for you!

  36. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

Well my temp stayed high again today and I think I *may have* ovulated on CD 14. How cool is that!?! Even if this isn't our month, I'm so excited that Clomid worked and I will have a normal cycle.

Here is my question, if Clomid is working (with side effects, but I could live with them to get pregnant), would it be stupid to switch to Fermara? I'm worried it won't work.

  37. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@ladybee: SO happy for you! With your eod bd it could be your month! Personally, if this cycle works on clomid I might stay on it. But I'd discuss it with your re.

  38. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@marionberry: um your temp went back up! Do you feel more hopeful? AFM I feel very hopeful. I just wish I would have used preseed every time since my CM is lacking. I did not expect to O so soon! I feel so nervous to get my hopes up. I guess infertility will do that.

  39. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@ladybee: Yes I feel much better today and you should too. Don't worry too much. You've done what you could do and now it's time to wait. Infertility does take much of our hope away but try to still hope a little. Or I can hope for you!

  40. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@marionberry: what time is your appointment tomorrow? What should you expect? Will the results be given right away?
