I'm wondering if anyone out there experienced/experiences insomnia after feeding your baby in the MOTN? At first BFing exhausted me, and I was able to fall back to sleep within minutes of putting my son back to bed. Now I find that my mind is racing, I'm unable to get comfortable, I keep thinking I hear him cry, etc., and it takes me ages to fall back to sleep after a night feeding. If you've experienced this, what helped? I have a check-up with my OB 8 weeks PP so will bring it up then, but wondered if anyone had advice in the meantime. My son is 6.5 weeks old, and I'm EBFing.
*I did a search on this topic and didn't find anything, so figured I'd put it out there! Apologies if this has been discussed before:-).
.
I also pee in the dark and keep the nursery light super dim for MOTN feelings. I've tried an eye mask, but that didn't work... May need to try ear plugs next. Like @Mae: I'm on edge, waiting for his next wake up, which I know will be soon. When it's our "shift", we sleep in the nursery on a twin bed. White noise machine isn't enough!
