One of my grandmothers is Cherokee, and her name is Pebble

Wow! Awesome list. My Dad loves doing family research, usually his vacations include some sort of visiting family lands, research, etc.

One I love is Sterling, M does not at all.

My Mom's family dog was named Tippy, I know it's not the same, but we will name our next dog that.

My favorite is Wiseman! It was used in two generations.

My great grandmas were Evangelina and Ora Lee, which I always thought were two pretty neat names.

DH has a Verna Mae and a few generations of Telford, and as well as a string of about 6 Johann's in a row!

My husband's great great grandmother was full Native American (i can remember which tribe) & her name was Osawa. I don't know much about my own family.

I don't know off hand but my dad is into the ancestry stuff and way down the lined there was a guy with my DS's name - so now I can say he was named after family and mean it

My great grandmother was Wilma. On my Chinese side I have tons that I can't easily pronounce!

Cora, Edna, Hazel

My grandfather was Faust, but whet by "Charlie".

On my Dad's French side - Ludivine was my Aunt and my Great-Grandmother's name. There was also a Malvina. Strangest is the great-something grandfather born in 1769 with the name Etienne Simon. My sister is Adrienne Simone.

On Mom's side is Loyree and Lucy. Oh, and Pocahontas. haha

I too did my genealogy and my husbands. Apparently a lot of people in our families had names that started with the letter E.

My brother's name is Blaise. It's a cool name, but I would never use it.

@bpcmarj: That's funny, I'm french and Etienne is actually not that uncommon. I know someone my age (28) with the name.

How are you guys going about doing your family trees? I would love to, but with Grandparents passed away and such, how do you find all your information?
