I know this is likely just an age thing, but does anyone have any successful ways of getting LO to wait to ask for something/talk while others are? My LO does this ALL the time and she's almost 4, I want to figure out a way to explain to her that it's not nice to interrupt others. Again, I know she's young and kids are kids...but any tips?

I try to say "mommy and daddy are talking right now, as soon as we finish we will talk to you but I have to talk to him right now." (Or whoever, obviously). This works about ten percent of the time. Or I ignore her until she gets to loud then get annoyed.

Yes. DS was telling my mother the other day, "I will say excuse me and then wait for you to stop talking and then I can talk,"
So, our rule is that you say, "excuse me, Mama," once and then wait. I will put my hand on LO so they know I know they're waiting until I finish speaking then, with my hand still on them, I turn to them and give them my attention and praise for waiting. If I can't reach LO I give a thumbs up, then hold one index finger up in a wait gesture and keep it there until their turn so they know they aren't forgotten. It works for us. -
I do exactly the same as @MrsSRS. It works for us. It took a bit for her to understand just saying "excuse me" wasn't enough, that sometimes we have to wait too.

I taught ds that if it's not peepee poopoo or blood, we don't interrupt because it's not nice. I explained that when he's taking to one of us we don't interrupt him. It took a lot of reminding but finally one day I took him to work with me and while I was talking to a colleague he said excuse me, stop, I need to peepee. I was so proud of him.

My friend has taught her almost 4 year old to put his hand on her arm and wait if he wants to say something while she is talking. She pats his hand to show she has noticed, then asks him what he wants to say when she has finished. He's not patient for very long and doesn't always remember to do it, but she's getting there with him. Usually what he wants to say is really bizarre, like "I ate cheese yesterday" or "I like Paw Patrol", because frequently the need to interrupt is a bid for attention rather than a genuine need to say something; statements like that make sense when they are rapid firing out of a kids mouth, less so when mummy calmly turns to him and says "yes darling?" and he replies "My shoes are blue... and.... ummm"
But the technique works brilliantly.

@Cherrybee: I read this idea too and it's what I plan to try once B gets a bit bigger.
