When did you introduce a lovey to your LO? I've tried giving our 9 month old a A&A Security blanket but she really doesn't have any interest in it right now. Our oldest is obsessed with her blankie, so I was surprised she didn't take to it right away! when did you introduce a lovey?

I did around 6 months. I started tucking an A&A security blanket between LO and me while breastfeeding for a few weeks then started putting it in the crib with her. She didn't form a really strong attachment to it until 11-12 months though and around 18 months developed a really strong attachment to the full sized A&A swaddle blankets.

DS1 didn't take to his lovey until around a year old.
DS2 is 5 months and already loves his.
I think it's just personality based.

Around six months maybe? I'd basically let her hold it as I was rocking her to sleep so she'd associate the two. At 1 year she's pretty much obsessed with it.

I've tried DD at 12 months is still not interested

We gave her a Jellycat dinosaur (the very small one) at 4.5 months for naptime and bedtime. I judged that it was small enough not to present a suffocation risk. She loves it and we enjoy watching her on the monitor as she quietly twirls its arms around and around as she falls asleep.

I bought two (one for the wash) A+A muslin loveys earlier this month, and give it to him as part of the nighttime and nap routine (change, lovey, book, sound machine, breastfeeding, bed). He does reach for it during the night, and is now sleeping through the night for the first time in months. We also have recently started sleep training, and I am thinking it is helping him to fall back to sleep when he wakes at night. I also think it helps that I wore it inside my shirt for several hours, so it smells like mommy.

She's had the lovey since 4 months; but we just used it mostly when she was nursing, not for sleep. She probably started getting attaching to it between 6-8 months maybe? Now almost 13 months she is obsessed.

Just before 5 months. He started to really love it a few weeks after that.

About a year with both kids. Just brought it out when we were rocking / singing around bedtime and then in to the crib with them so that they associated the item with comfort at bedtime.

Right after a year (I was a stickler for AAP guidelines). It is a soft stuffed bunny. I just tucked it under her arm when I was rocking her before bedtime then put it down with her, and the very first night in her crib with it she snuggled right up to it and it was love. She only gets it for nap and bedtime but she's obsessed.

Around 6 months we started trying putting different stuffed animals down with him when he slept. We tried several, each for a few days, and there was only one that he barely seemed to interact with, so we stuck with that one. He didn't start to actually like it till close to a year!

Starting at around 12 weeks I tried introducing various things but he never took to anything until we ditched the paci. Then he really attached to the A&A swaddle blankets.
