Just about everything on there is irritating! I rarely go on anymore now that I have HB!

Agreed. I'm finding myself more and more over FB these days. I could list any number of irritating statuses (stati?) but who knows who's reading here ...

I think I'm most bothered by the statuses that say something like "I'm absolutely devastated and heartbroken." and then they say nothing more about the subject. You know in those cases that people are just begging for someone to ask them "Oh, what's wrong?" Holy attention grab, Batman.

@redsmarties: I hate those types of updates too! Passive-aggressive whiny status updates “I wish I wasn’t the only grownup in this house….” and blatant attention-whoring are my two biggest FB pet peeves!

I can't stand whiny and braggy status updates. Or ones people write when they're angry and include lots of cursing. I deleted a lot of friends because of that.

annoying facebook status of the day "To the surprise of no one,I'm still tired and feel like poo. Guess who is calling the doctor??? This chick! *sigh*"

Every day she complains about her life, how tough it is, how she's sick and tired and has to go to work........ urgh.

@owlmom: Ohhhh that happened to a friend of mine, as well. Her sister-in-law did the honors. GAH!

@mediagirl: so ridiculous, right? I cried about it. And then I cried because I felt stupid about crying over Facebook. Gotta love post-baby hormone swings

I love Facebook

But I do have a few people hidden or have deleted them for:
-posting only about God & their religion
-people who post about their sales business (Avon, Real Estate, etc.)
-people who post holier than thou statuses, for instance one friend posted, "Don't people care about more important things than the Giants winning the Super Bowl?" So, if someone is not posting about their favorite cause, world peace, ending war, or something like that, then it means they don't care?

There are more annoying posts than there are entertaining ones, in my opinion. I have come to realize that if I want to continue to have positive interactions with people, in person, then I have to hide their status updates... best decision ever.

I hate the "I'm wearing BLACK." "I'm going to St.Petersburg for 10 months." etc etc etc :: the confusing ones that are supposed to promote breast cancer awareness. I think it's just irritating, most people don't know what the statuses mean, and I don't think it does anything for the cause.

The breast cancer awareness memes, and the guys who go "Women never date nice guys like me. I try so hard and still can't get any. Maybe I should slap the next one around - then she'd stay."

@owlmom - how sad. I was super paranoid about that. I told family to keep it off of facebook until I posted something first.

I have a love/hate with facebook. I am seriously thinking about deactivating - I think I would be a happier person w/out it. I'm tired of the one-uppers, attention you-know-whats, religious/political posters, and so on. FB usually puts me in a bad mood - so why should I have this in my life....?

@owlmom: We swore our relatives to secrecy about the pregnancy. So far, there's been no facebook mentions of it yet. I'm kind of impressed that my parents especially my mom and MIL can keep their mouths shut.
