I want to make cake in a jar for the guests at P's brithday and have come into ALOT of 4 oz baby food jars... like almost 70! Do you think I could use those? I would think that if someone wanted more cake they could just grab another and for those that just like a little bit they'd be good with just one?...
I'd hate to have to go buy a bunch of small mason type jars if I don't have to.
Something cute like these! Thoughts?

I hadn't really planned on another dessert... I guess I could do mini pies? I have a P theme going on since it's P's birthday.... making all those does sound like ALOT of work though so I might just stick with the cake! lol

I think those are great! You could always make pudding and put it in the jars? Or they could be cups and make punch? Just some ideas, but I think that should be enough, especially for LOs

@runsyellowlites: My friend made strawberry shortcake in baby jars once for a party and they were so good! She put a layer of cake on the bottom, then vanilla pudding, strawberries and whipped cream on top. They were really good an easy to make!

What happened to the banana dessert with the choc chips that appeared on my phone? I came back to drool, lol
70 jars is alot. So an easy crowd pleasing 2nd dessert/snack is Popcorn drizzled with chocolate. P is for Popcorn.

I think it sounds great! People always cut pieces of cake that are too huge at parties. It's always too much frosting and a lot gets wasted.

But don't know if that's the route I want to go. I think I'd like to make them little ombré cakes like these in which I would make cupcakes different shades of pink & then cut them & layer them in the whittle jars.

My husband would insist that no cake is complete with out ice cream, so if you want more dessert, you could add that.
