My LO is 3 weeks old, and I want to buy a boppy pillow, I think it will make breastfeeding easier. Is it worth it since my baby is already nearly a month old? How old was your baby when you stopped using your boppy?

I think I only used it the first 2 weeks. She was small so she kept falling between it. Now that she is 10 weeks I am considering breaking it back out.

I use it occasionally for bf'ing, but use it more often to sit him up on the floor while I'm doing things around the house or to prop him up on the bathmat while I take a shower. I think it is worth it.

I couldn't use it because LO had to sit upright during and after feedings due to reflux. Are you planning on a baby #2? Even if you don't use it much now, maybe you'll get to use it in the future.

I still use it for every feeding at home, and LO is 7 months. Worth every penny for me. I also have a breastfriend, which I like too.

I vote no. I had one and hated it. It was so awkward for me. I just ended up using a regular pillow from our bed, which was just perfect!

I have a Boppy and I use it primarily as a spot for the baby to lay on (I still put it around my waist since she likes to be close to mama) but I can keep my hands free.
I purchased My Breast Friend and had it rushed delivered--IMO it's way better for breastfeeding because the baby doesn't fall in the center.

I've never used or tried it, but I have the boomerang nursing pillow from Jolly Jumper and LOVE THAT THING.

I would never change !!! It's awesome.

For me there were other nursing pillows that I would prefer over a boppy. The boppy just wasn't high enough that I still found myself leaning over to get my breast down to my son and that kills your back.

I got mine for free, so I'd say it was worth it for the price we paid. I don't use any pillows to bf, so there's that, though. I'm going to keep the pillow until lo is older b/c I've seen it used so much for babies when they're trying to master sitting up & keep falling over.
if you're comfortable with it & cost is an issue (I'm not sure how much they cost?), I'd say try to find one from a friend who no longer needs it or from craigslist or a listserv or something. then if you hate it, it's not such a big deal.

Mine is by posh n plush. (looks a lot like that jolly jumper pillow) I am currently nursing with it on my lap and wedged up against the computer desk, leaving me two hands to type. Love it.

oh and she's three months, I used it with my older baby for...maybe 8 months?

I didn't get mine until LO was nearly 2 mos and it is a total life saver. Definitely don't regret the purchase!

I have a Simplisse Gia and still occasionally use it at almost 11 months! Not necessary, but VERY nice to have.

I couldn't really use it for the first two months because LO was just so tiny but since then we've been using it daily and are still now at 10+ months.

I didn't get the boppy until around 3 weeks (gift that arrived late due to shipping problems). We used it until LO was around 9-10 months.

Thank guys, I bought one yesterday and decided to give it a try since I dont have a glider or anywhere comfortable to feed LO. So far I do like it, it definitely makes breastfeeding easier
