I swear, this winter has been brutal! It seems like it's everywhere these days. How is your house surviving?
On Sunday, the cold I've been fighting turned into a full blown head/sinus cold, which has since migrated into my chest. Now, we're doing what we can to prevent it from turning into bronchitis. And I got poor DH sick, so now we're both mostly useless 
Oh, well...guess the dishes can get done over the weekend...right?

I've got a mild cold I can't shake. Mostly just nasal congestion...which is the worst!

I had this last week and I was in bed for 4 days. Thursday-Sunday. Advil cold and sinus did the trick

Both kids got runny noses last week but that's all so far!
But now me and DH are getting colds.

Noo, I'm so sorry! Being sick is the worst. We had it here for pretty much the entire month of December. We're on a bit of a reprieve right now, but K has been kind of snuffly lately. So I hope its not returning!

Yes. I feel pretty crummy. I'm sucking it up so I can get some consignment shopping done tonight but as soon as I'm done, I'm headed home to bed. Ugh.

Yes, I've been sick for almost 3 weeks and it's been brutal. It all started when our nieces came to stay with us. The one had a bad cold + cough. DH got sick, then FIL, then MIL, then BIL then I got sick. I've had a brutal cough that has bruised my ribs. I finally buckled down and got some meds OK'd by my OB and I'm on the mend.

Yup. our whole house has been sick for.....well, it will be two weeks tomorrow. LO is getting over bronchiolitis, DH has bronchitis, they BOTH got pink eye (from LO and day care), and I have a terrible sinus infection/cough/ear infection combination (lucky me, right?) that I thought couldn't be worse...
Until I got the stomach flu that's also going around. Yup, it got worse. I feel like death today, but I am at work. I've missed 4 days in the last 2 weeks. =(
I just want it all to get better. I keep telling myself that in 5 years this will be a funny story, like "remember that time when we were all so sick and mommy slept only 3 hours a night for 12 consecutive days, defying all we know about the human body and how it functions?"

I had a fever yesterday so im staying home from work again today. But I also had a fever after Christmas! I swear I got this from my boss who walked around the office disgustingly sick for days two weeks go.

@Anagram: pink eye is the worst!! DH used to be a high school teacher and he got it once a year! I haven't had it since I lived in college dorms.

I've been sick for a week and half. My coughing is so bad that I've bruised a couple of my ribs- and being almost 35 weeks pregnant it has been awful to try to sleep.

@lavender: I am so sorry! I am right there with you except I'm in the first tri. My ribs are so bruised it sometimes hurts to breathe and I can't catch my breath.
Can your OB OK some cough medicine. Mine ahs turned into a allergy cough and the only thing that helps me is Robitussin DM + Benadryl at night. My cough has been SO much better since I started taking it.

@locavore_mama: I'm glad you're finally taking something! I started deep coughing this morning, and I could feel it all the way down to my pelvis. I immediately called my OB, and they got me in and put me on antibiotics. I have to be very careful with bronchitis, because I have asthma that can get out of hand quickly.
@lavender: yuck. Bruised ribs is no fun while not pregnant, never mind all that extra baby weight pressing against you, too! I hope you can find some relief. I swear, I've taken more showers in the last few days to try to clear out all the crap I'm coughing and sneezing up, but I can't stand in the shower all day!
@Anagram: oh my goodness. That sounds completely miserable! I hope your house can get better soon. Hang in there, Mama.
@Danizaur: that's what I had for a few weeks leading up to this. Then out of nowhere, it got worse. I hope yours goes away and stays away!

Operation Get the Sick Out has commenced in our house. I just wiped down all of the surfaces that we commonly touch with a bleach solution, and our sheets and blankets are in the wash. I really have to go clean out the car-I have a feeling it is a hotbed of germ infestations. Trying to keep it from coming back!

@LovelyPlum: You just can't catch a break lately! I'm finally getting over the series of colds I've had since Christmas but it seems like every weekend I go out to run errands and encounter the masses and end up sick again by mid-week. You need to stay away from people - all people, because you never know who is incubating germs!! And the neti pot is your friend. (Really, I went through 4 boxes of kleenex in about 2 weeks...)

@spaniellove: it's been an interesting week around here, that's for sure 
The receptionist at the doctor's office offered to put me to work today, since I'm in there so often. But I'm really glad they got me in so quickly and that I'm on meds now. This is a nasty cold/infection, but I'm so glad that we caught it before it progressed. My bronchitis always comes on hard and fast, so at least we've avoided that (fingers crossed!)
It turns out that being pregnant in the winter means you're pretty much going to be combatting all of it for months. Another thing they don't advertise

I felt like something was coming on two weeks ago. Had all the symptoms but never got the full on sickness. Week before that, DH had bronchitis. DS caught the flu last week.

@locavore_mama: @LovelyPlum: I broke down and finally saw my OB and PCP, and started doing Robitussin w/ codeine for the past two nights. And I've been doing a heating pad on my ribs. The worse is the constant waking up to go the bathroom when I need to cough real bad- coughing and peeing has become my life the past two weeks.

@lavender: I was reading online that for the bruised ribs don't do heating pad! Ice only for the first 72 hours!
