Bumping this. I thought for sure I read that someone was, or in school to be. @tlcbaby: ?

@grizz: Haha I read this on my phone and waited to respond until I was on my computer. I am in school for holistic nutrition. My degree will officially be "Masters of Science in Health and Nutrition Education". I am going to wall you some of my personal feelings on why I went the holistic route.

@tlcbaby: Awesome! Thank you. I am very interested in being a lactation counselor or lactation consultant, and there is a lot more opportunity in making the switch if I have a background in nutrition. If I only have an LC designation, the field is pretty limited. My mentor at work is encouraging me to go for it

My mom is a dietician and it was great wen I was a kid. She did a lot of consultant work and had contracts with 7 places that she worked at 2 days each month. It made it so that she had a super-flexible schedule and could be available for all sorts of activities - she could schedule a day off if we had a field trip, or schedule a close by location if we had a volleyball game or something.
