No, I think it sounds great for a girl!

I love the name Camden, but I do think of a boy when I hear it. I also think it's going to get super popular since 2 celebs named their boys that...but I still really like it! Of the names you listed I like Elle Harper the best--so feminine and pretty!

I think it can be a very feminine name, it works well either way. I like it!

I'll be honest with you - I named my female cat Camden when I lived in CT. I'm from Baltimore, she was named after Camden yards. I would name a girl Camden in a MINUTE if my husband wouldn't divorce me before allowing it.

I think that is fantastic name! I named my daughter Quinn and have yet to meet another Quinn who is a girl (that is except for the characters on Glee and Daria), but I kind of like it. I also taught girls who are named Ryan, Frankie, and Kyle. And, if we have another girl, we have thrown around the idea of Elliott.

We used a masculine name for our daughter and it hasn't been a big issue. Sure people have put her down as a male when they see it on paper but that's not a big deal to me.

@rahlyrah sorta! We loved the name while watching Scrubs but forgot about it after the show went off the air, and then last summer at the community pool there was a little girl named Elliott there. So we fell back in love hahaha

That was one of the names we had picked for our DD.

@MamaBehr: I love the name Quinn and I actually think of it as a girl's name (probably because I was quite the Daria fan back in the day)! I also love Kyle for a girl and it was on my pre-DH list, but with our last name her name would be the name of the Texas A&M football stadium, so that is NOT happening!

I guess I'm in the minority, but when I hear Camden I think "girl". I love it! I might steal it if I have a girl in the future

Camden sounds masculine to me, but I also grew up near Camden, NJ, the most dangerous city in America, so that might be why.

Either way, I think it's a pretty name, and if you like it, then use it!

I dont know anyone IRL with that name but when I read it I dont think boy or girl. Cute name!
