Is Carter's a good brand?

Loved it when lo was a little baby! Not as much selection 2t and beyond but we still have some stuff. The fit was always good for lo who was always high in % for height and middle for weight.

They do have a lot of things with writing I personally didn't mind that at all when lo was a little little baby. It gets to be much when they are going into toddlerhood and maybe I'm in the minority but they're babies so they can "get away with it."

Old Navy is also comparable in price (I think) and I like them too, but I like them more as lo has gotten older. (Their onesies always ran really large.)

Just fyi you can also sometimes get Carters at Costco, Ross, TJ Maxx, Kohls, Marshalls, Macys, and more. I'm sorry but I don't remember when you're due but just so you know sales come up often.

@Smurfette: yeah I noticed all the little sayings and they kind of put me off as well.

@Meowkers: I buy a ton of carters stuff for play clothes and none of my stuff has words or sayings on them. It's mostly their onesies that have writing on them and I don't put LO in onesies as an outfit. She wore a lot of leggings and a tunic style top

ETA: this is a carters set - no writing - all her carters outfits are like this. And she's putting a sock on her hand bc she thinks she's Elsa and Elsa wears one glove in that one scene of Frozen

When the clothes have appliques that say "mommy's little whatever" I found that I can remove them easily if they really bother me. But it's not that hard to find pieces that don't have them if I look, either. Now that I realize how quickly babies grow I'm a fan of their clearance rack!

@Smurfette: yes - a lot newborn stuff had writing - I mostly had her in sleepers bc she was a winter baby. We started with carters sets around 6 months and i always searched outfits with no writing

I love them. I have found their stuff is very soft & durable, but the Target/Walmart versions are not.
