I was debating getting a super cheap seat for our nannys car but now I'm leaning towards a britax with click tight technology so that I do not have to worry about whether it is installed correctly. Is click tight really that simple??

Yes. It's really that easy.
I never had a hard time with latch and such but for the high back booster that now has to be seat belt installed it's amazing.

I don't know about the Britax but the Chicco NextFit takes us 1 minute to install.

As long as there is nothing in the way, yes, it is really easy. We just got one recently for big sis and it works great!

Yep, IMO the installation is as close to foolproof as you can get. We got a super cheap seat for travel because of the weight (Cosco Scenera Next) and it's a total pain to install -- the mechanism for tightening the LATCH straps is horrible so I mostly use the seatbelt and even then I never feel like it's really installed correctly. The difference between the two seats is day and night.

Yes! We just got a Britax Boulevard with Click Tight and it was super simple to install. It seems very foolproof!

@PurplePeony: funny you mention that because my mom has a Cosco for the kids and I couldn't get the straps to tighten. I had been leaning towards getting a Cosco as the spare seat and now I'm not!

Yup, super easy for us. We have the ClickTight Marathon and love it!

Yep. I love it. We just ditched the cheap second seat in DH's car for another click tight boulevard. Soooo worth it.

I don't have the Britax but the Chicco Nextfit has the same thing and it really is that easy.

@PurplePeony: same here! We have the clicktight in our cars but use the Cosco for travel. I thought DH was going to throw it out the window of the rental car place and leave us at the airport while he went to buy a different seat! It was absolutely horiffic to install -- it is our backup seat for the grandparents, but now I don't trust that they will be able to install it correctly.

We love our Britax ClickTight!
@MrsLonghorn: @PurplePeony: Same! We bought a Cosco one for the grandparents and I was about to lose it trying to install it! So impossible and I still didn't feel safe with LO in the seat so we used it once and NEVER again. If I can't figure it out, there is no way I trust my in-laws or my parents to do it correctly.
