DH and I agreed that we'll most likely have 3 children, then later on down the road, if we can afford it, adopt from the foster care system.

Anyway this came up in conversation with my parents and I mentioned we agreed on 3 kids and my mom said I shouldn't have three kids because one kid always gets left out and she said three kids was harder for her than four (she had six!!). But I told her that I still felt left out! My two older sibs hung out, my two younger sibs hung out and I was by myself (the sixth babe wasn't born til I was 15) and my mom was surprised to hear that.
Anyway, I see no difference between 3 or 5, which was the point she was making. Although she thinks if I'm going to have 3, I should just have 4 hahaha. Even though we hope to adopt later on.

Anyway... just wondering what others think: is it bad to have three children? Would you have 2, or 4 to avoid having three?
