I've sold a ton of used handbagson ebay. It's only illegal to sell counterfeits.

It depends on the designer, and you can run a check on Ebay and see if you see comparable bags to yours on there and what they are going for. You can search by used bags only. I always kept mine in really good shape and was always able to sell them for a good amount...For ex: a large leather Juicy Couture handbag I paid $275 on sale for, I was able to sell after using it a year and a half or so for $200. I always keep the dust bags and stuff too. On ebay especially, the marketing goes a long wat. I even staged the photos with a big pink Juicy shopping bag behind it and Juicy tissue paper inside the bag for the photos. Just make it look really attractive. Don't word it as "used handbag for sale.". I would put "Beautiful Chocolate Leather Juicy Couture Handbag" and then under that put "Excellent used condition, original retail $349."
