Is it possible to have low hCG that doesn't double and then starts to?

@travellingbee: Still praying for your miracle baby I am so sorry you are still in limbo. It is such a heart wrenching place to be! Hugs

@blackbird: right. If I was doubling normally now it would fall in that range. If I was rising significantly but not doubling it would fall in that range. But if it wasn't increasing very much at all it would still be 1 to 2 and I would know I was having a miscarriage. yes I am heading to the doctor in a few minutes to have my blood drawn again.

Ugh...what a stressful time for you! Did you start taking your progesterone as soon as you got home? I hope they can get you results of your beta fast!

@NorthStar: lol yes. I had run out of prenatals too so the second I got home I grabbed the prenatals and progesterone

@travellingbee: I'm sorry you're going through this! I guess that's both the good and bad thing with betas - like you said, you would have thought this was a normal pregnancy. Sending you positive thoughts and hoping this little bean was just a slow starter!!

@travellingbee: Wishing you good news on your betas! The CB digitals with estimation often underestimate how far along you are as the threshold for 3 weeks plus is really high. Can you get an ultrasound soon?

@marionberry: she's going to do an ultrasound in a week. Had my blood drawn, but won't get the results until a little later in the day. She said she thought it was about a 60/40 chance (60% chance that it isn't normal.) but that's actually much higher than I expected. Last night I was having some annoying discomfort/pains on my left side and so I became terrified that it was ectopic. She said based on what I was describing that she doubted it actually was ectopic, and was more likely a cyst on my ovary. I had that with LO too. But we will keep an eye on it depending on what the levels today say. And we will do an ultrasound next week. I really love her. She's very sweet and knows her stuff.

Eta: I meant to say that the chance of having a normal pregnancy was much higher than I thought. I never would've said 40%. I was thinking more like 10%.

@lawbee11: If this doesn't work out, I'm going to need a very tall stiff drink! Or at least a pretty girly cocktail. Maybe we can get together.

Meh. Results came back. Progesterone 32, HCG 350. Not even close to doubling. So they called it a Pregnancy of unknown origin. Now I wait. I go in Tuesday for an ultrasound. At that point they will decide if methotrexate is needed. Ugh. I'm not devastated or anything because I assumed that it wasn't a viable pregnancy. But I just hate all this waiting around. I just want to be done with it all. I can't believe I had two back to back miscarriages....

Once you type in the levels, there's a bit of interesting stats.

@Kelley_lovelikecrazy: Doctor seems convinced it's over. So I guess we just wait and see on Tuesday. I choose to not have hope at this point, honestly, because it is too difficult. I'm OK with it being over. I just want it to be over.
