We have been TTC for 8 months, which I realize isn't necessarily that long. I am 24 and DH is 25.
However, my periods have been somewhat irregular and it looks like I have a short LP. My dr. did order a progesterone check to be sure that I was ovulating around 5 months and I am.
The last two months is what has me most concerned. I have had pretty bad pain in my lower left back, like right next to my spine. At first, I thought it was because of the chiropractic work that I have been having done. However, looking at it now it is worse right before and during my period. This month's period, I'm on day 5, has been much heavier and more painful than normal. My pain was really bad last wed-friday, where for a good chunk of those days I couldn't walk upright. When I went to the chiropractor on Friday he said my spine looked the best it ever has. I have been taking a LOT of painkillers, more than normal, and still had to come home from work today on day 5. I called my obgyn and they said to call back by 4:30 if the bleeding gets worse, or tomorrow if it hasn't slowed down or if the pain gets worse. The bleeding has slowed down, and the cramps were better for a while, but have come back again and my back never really stopped hurting.
I had two dermoid ovarian cysts removed in 2010, one was larger than my surgeons fist. I had other symptoms, but the back pain was definitely there then.
I usually have my annual in March, I was thinking of waiting until May because then it would have been a year of TTC and I thought we could talk about next steps if I still wasn't pregnant. Is it time that I call in and just ask for an appointment? Should I just try and switch doctors?
ETA: thanks for making it to the end of my novel
