First of all, let me say that I have always felt lucky to have a child who is really independent and able to entertain herself, even if I sometimes wished she would be a little more snuggly
Well, LO is now 16 months old and full of energy. She is quite the daredevil and loves running around, getting into things, making huge messes and climbing dangerous heights. Tiring for me, yes - but mostly in good fun for her. However, I am starting to worry that there might be something wrong with her. The reason is, we keep having to leave our library mommy and me class early due to her behavior. When all the other children sit with their moms and sing along, my child is running across the room, towards the door, laughing all the way. After the fifth time of chasing her and bringing her back only to have her run away again, I just decided we should leave. This has happened several times before. Any attempt to get her to sit with me results in shrieking/squirming.
PLEASE tell me I'm not alone! And if your LO is like this, what do you do to correct the behavior (or can you at this age? I don't even know!)? And if you have any book recommendations for toddler behavior, please share.
