who still wakes up every 2-2 1/2 hours to eat at night? He's 14 weeks. I feel like I'm reading all these posts where the baby sleeps 6 hours straight and they're worried about it. My guy has never slept more than 3 hours straight! Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think either of mine started to sleep through the night until 5 to 6 months old (well that was DS, DD was more like 18 months old hahaha!). I wouldn't worry about it!

Absolutely not! My LO woke up every 3-4 hours at night until 4 months or so. You are doing great!

Thanks @mamabehr and @locavore_mama. I was starting to feel like I was setting him up for horrible sleep. Maybe I should work on dropping one night feeding...

Some parents are just extremely lucky to have great sleepers. Doesn't mean we're doing anything wrong! -
N woke up every few hours until we kicked him out of our bed and sleep trained at 5.5 months.

Mine didn't start sleeping through the night until probably 7 or 8 months, and that depends on your definition of STTN...he's a year old and still usually wakes up at least once a night (after a 9 or so hour stretch). But until he was 6 months old and we transitioned him from our bed into his crib he was up every 2-3 hours, all night every night.

We are up 4-5 times a night and DS will be 5 months next week. Some nights are better than others, but I'm always prepared to be up a lot. This is why I nap with him in the day.

It took my guy 14 months to sleep through the night. It was tough going at times but I didn't want to do cry it out and he just wasn't ready. Now he sleeps for 12 hours like a champ.

Mine is 7.5mo and he still wakes up a few times at night. He'll sleep through the night when he's ready.

Mine woke like that until about 7 months, and didn't sttn until after 12 months.

i think it's easier for people to talk about their amazing sleeping babies as opposed to most of us who do not experience that. i don't think your situation is that unusual.
one thing i did do (not sure if you would be comfortable with this), was to wait 15-20 minutes if i felt like LO was waking a bit early for a night feed to see if he would put himself to sleep. if it had been 3 or 4 hours i would feed him, but if it had been 1 or 2, i would wait.

@edelweiss: I think I'll try your suggestion when he wakes up 1-2 hours after his last feeding. I'm sure he could go at least 3 hours...
