We have a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler - uses water and is much cheaper to run) that we've been using at night. Hopefully we'll make it to June just using that. Its in the upper 90's this week, so we definitely need something!

I've kicked it on a few times for a few hours in the evenings. We have a wall of windows in our apartment that faces west, and the afternoon sun just beats in (even with blind and curtains) and it's really warm and stuffy when I get home from work (I can't WAIT to move next month!!!). It would be easier to just open the windows, but we can't put screens on them and end up with a ton of flies in the house, which make me all kinds of crazy. So I get in, kick on the AC until around bedtime, and then turn it back off.

We live in Portland, OR ... Most houses here don't have AC. It gets super-effing hot in the summer, but hey ... we're tough! **I will be using a window AC in July!!**

Ha! I didn't think so but it just kicked on! DH must've done it this morning. Though the heat could easily come back on over night or within the next week.

Not yet it's been hot, but our house stays a pretty good temp all day and the. At night,it's still cool, so we open the windows and run the fans. Hoping to last a few more weeks!

Nope! This is our first summer in this house so we don't even have AC units yet! The radiators are coming in at night and we are on the lower floors of a brick building - so far it's still cold in our house.

Nope - another PNW girl here and we don't have central air. We do have two window units though and we'll be busting those out once the weather is consistently warm - maybe late June.

When we we went to Vegas it was in the high 80s and the constant air conditioning made it freezing cold. We turned the air off in our hotel room and actually turned the heat on one night bc we were freezing!
