MIL loves yard sales, and since LO arrived has been always looking for stuff for her there. The problem is that this means every time we see her she brings something new, and a lot of it is huge stuff. In the last six weeks, she's brought an activity table, a wagon full of megablocks, and an activity cube, along with several smaller toys. Add in a few birthday gifts from other people and all the sudden our house looks like a toy store exploded! We have a large house so it's not that we don't have room for it, but it's so much stuff and I try and keep clutter down to have less to clean around.
Is there a nice way to tell her to stop buying large toys? I know it's probably hopeless to stop her from buying stuff entirely, but if I could get smaller toys that I could put in rotation or store away I could deal with it. Have any of you been in a similar situation?
