I wish I had done a study abroad program!
I also wanted to do a summer camp counseling at my favorite camp that I went to as a teen - but it never happened. I was a counselor for the camp for just one week but I wish I had done the whole summer.

@Mrs. Pen: I did a whole summer at a Girl Scout camp here in StL. 9 weeks, 1 week of training and 4 2 week residential sessions (I lived in a tent for 9 weeks). Not gonna lie... I wouldn't do it again.
I wish I had gotten to do a big party spring break trip, like Cancun or Panama City or something.

Traveled with DH. When we first started dating he would always say stuff like lets just go to Hawaii, or Costa Rica or wherever and I always had lame excuses. Now I wish I had just gone with it. We both lived with our parents and had no real bills...we could have totally gone to New York for a long weekend or something but noooo I was too lame

I wish I could have found a way to study abroad.
It's one reason I'm committed to paying for my future LOs college.

@loveisstrange: I thoroughly enjoyed the one week I did - stayed friends with the other counselors and they all loved it! It depends on the camp. This particular one was a "traveling" camp, and different university campuses throughout the US hosted them. It was pretty cool. I went twice as a teen, and counseled for one week when I was 18.
@hellocupcake: yeah same here. We didn't know how to manage money and budget and we definitely could have afforded some travel if we had known how to save better - we didn't even go on a "real" honeymoon! Maybe one day...

I wish I would have studied abroad too! The semester I could have done it, I decided against it because I didn't want to be away from my the-boyfriend for his last year of college. I met since great new people on campus anyway that year, but I ended up dumping my boyfriend the next year anyway. I wish I would have taken that opportunity when it arose. Oh well, I plan on traveling for fun anyway.

I always wanted to do a 1 year backpacking trip, going to every continent--no set plan or timelines--just see where the wind takes me.
I did it in small doses, every summer after I started teaching up until the summer before I got married (too much to plan and do), but those summers just served to make my itchy feet worse.
For sure, my most exciting times have been the summers I've been bumming around in foreign countries, taking chances and meeting strange and exciting people.
It's hard being a grown up and tied to one place. =(
