A couple days ago my 5 month old started clasping his hands together and punching himself in the face repeatedly. I find it really odd and I don't know if I should worry about it or if it's just one of those strange things babies do.
I wonder if its related to teething?
Anyone's LO do this?

Yep. Pretty normal. I don't think it's related to anything in particular, just getting used to how his muscles work.

Yep. They beat themselves up as they learn what their little muscles and limbs can do. Pretty soon he'll be punching YOU in the face, too.

@mrskc: Is he hitting himself very hard? My daughter went through a phase of patting her face and head, she still sometimes slaps the side of her head and she is 11 months now

Haha I guess so! Because E punches himself in the jaw. Poor babies are def teething!
