I bought this onesie for Xander from Carter's. It's listed under Baby Neutral, but now that I have it, I've noticed the bow right at the collar and am kind of thinking it looks like it's geared more towards girls. What do you think?

@hilsy85: That's what I'm thinking! It arrived today in the mail and I was like "WTF? Did I accidentally order a girl's onesie??" but then I checked their website and they claim it's Baby Neutral.

It looks girly, but maybe just try and take the bow off. Or meh, whatever let him wear it

Definitely geared towards a girl, but I'd just cut the bow off

@sorrycharlie: @cmomma17: Not sure how easy it would be to snip off the bow, but now I'm thinking the trim is pretty girly too, so maybe I should just return it.

@Adira: I bet it's just held in place by a stitch or two! Should be pretty easy. But you do have plenty of time to exchange since it's still early September

@cmomma17: haha, yeah. Maybe I'll take it back to the Outlet and see what else I can get instead.

I'd return it or gift it. Too girly with thr trim and the bow.

I'd return it. If it didn't have the trim I'd snip the bow off and call it good but the trim sorta gives it away!

Snip off the bow & you're fine. Wonder why they say it's neutral!

@Adira: Personally I'd probably return it, but I have a store nearby. Is there one anywhere near you? If you want to try removing the bow, I've found it easy to remove their appliques by taking a small sharp pair of cosmetic scissors to remove stitches from the back.

Girly! The scalloped edge is the one they use for girls, even without a bow. I'd exchange. There must be a "Mummy" one for boys.

@spaniellove: Yep, I have a local Carter's, so I think I'm leaning towards returning it too!!
@shopaholic: They do! I already bought it, haha! But the two "boy" onesies were both grey with black wording, so I was hoping for something with more color. I guess color is for girls??

Weird! I definitely don't think it's neutral haha looks pretty girly to me! I'd return and try again

Just cut off that tiny bow! I honestly think it'd be fine for a baby boy too.

The bow and the scallop trim on the neckline scream girl to me.

I'd return it. For me, it's too girly, even without the bow. Plus, I don't buy brand new clothes to cut them up. I'd rather just buy one I already like.

It looks unisex to me, even with the bow.
It's in the same spot a bowtie would go. If it bothers you, cut it off.

I'd probably keep the bow but I like to dress my son androgenously sometimes. You can remove it if you don't like it. There's a boy who where's a tutu to the park everyday near us and he is about 6 years old. But that was his choice so maybe it's different who knows.

I think if u take off the bow, it will look more gender neutral. Maybe even the orange stitching, but not as much as the bow.
