Charlie didn't get sick until he was around 9 months old when I weaned. Olive is 11 months old, and she's been sick at least 4 times already even though she is exclusively breastfed. I think Charlie brings home a lot of germs from daycare.
I caught her cold and I have a lot of phlegm, so I think that's why Olive couldn't sleep tonight. She was up for 2 1/2 hours and I just got her back down. Hope she stays down!

Sienna is EBF and she got sick when she was 2 weeks old. She go sick last week sneezing/runny nose so nothing drastic, but ya, it's daycare for sure.

Cam is bf (with occasional formula supplementation) and hasn't been sick yet at 8 months (knock on wood!).
We were on vacation recently and my husband and I both caught a bad cold, Cam didn't blink an eye- thank goodness for breastfeeding! Worth all of the troubles in the beginning!

Both my girls were EBF, TG didn't get sick once until she was over a year old and WB is 7.5 months and never been sick.

My son was formula fed and he has been sick twice, he is 21 months old. He is also not a day care kid.
One was a cold he caught from my husband, which turned into an eye infection, the second time was a stomach virus he contracted while on vacation, probably from germs on a toy.
I really think it has more to do with exposure to other children, especially siblings. IME it is also the day care kids that get sick more, but I have no scientific proof to back this up, just ancedotes from other other moms.

Ebf and sick for the first 4 weeks of daycare. Then off and on. What I have noticed (myself being miserably sick myself right now) he gets sick but never as bad as me.

Ebf and her most serious sickness was a cough she developed at 3 months old. She isn't in daycare and isn't exposed to other babies that often though, so that may have something to do with it

DS is 8, was ff, & has had antibiotics twice in his whole life with one or two stomach bugs in the mix. The first antibiotics were for an ear infection when he was 8 months that just wouldn't go away & the second was last year moreso just covering the bases bc he had been having random fevers & said his throat was hurting, strep test was negative but I took the script anyways figuring it might knock out whatever had been causing the fevers.... The pharmacist looked at me like I was nuts when she asked if he'd ever had amoxicillin & I said "no". Lol
DD is ebf & 5 mths. She had a couple days she seemed to not be feeling well but it may have been the beginning of teething bc she also had a random low grade fever..... A few weeks later the drool started. Lol. So I guess she hasn't been sick yet. I'm actually sick right now with runny nose & bad body aches. I just keep nursing her knowing I'm giving her the antibodies for whatever it is I'm fighting off right now, hoping it helps keep her well bc this stinks! Lol

C is FF and has only been sick once, she got a little bit of a cold a couple days after we brought her home from the hospital. She's almost 6 months and around other kids a LOT.

LO is 8.5 months old and is mostly EBF. She does get an occasional bottle of formula though. She was slightly sick after her 6 months vaccine. Then last month she caught her first cold... runny nose, cough, fever. She wasn't miserable and it didn't affect her appetite at all. DH and I caught her cold and were both miserable though.

Both kida are formula fed. DD only got sick once in the 9 months before she started daycare; then it was like a few days every monthe the first year. Now its like once every couple months. She's only had antibiotics once, though, and nothing too serious.
DS got hand, foot, and mouth at 3 months. Now both kids have a cold, so this is his second illness.

My lo has been on formula since she was a week old and she has had one cold that wasn't bad at all at 8 months, it only lasted a week. She's 14 months now. I'm a sahm so she's not in day care, but we do go to lots of mommy and me type classes so she is exposed to kids often.

My LO was EBF and didn't get sick until she started daycare. She started with a runny nose/congestion but eventually it go bad and we put her on antibiotics.

This makes me so sad hearing how all the babies got si k when they started daycare! I hate that she will be starting in two weeks. I haven't been sick in 9 months (had a bad cold during my first trimester). Since then, none of us have been sick. M hasn't been sick... yet.

my Lo will be 5 months old in 5 days. When she eas EBF and we were home she never got sick. Once I started taking her to daycare and adding a tiny bit of formula to each bottle of breastmilk she gets sick a lot. I guess its the daycare

Just shy of 15 months. We just weaned. He's rarely sick, but I fully expect that will change if/when he gets into some sort of daycare situation.
