Not a holiday, per se, but my grandpa made me very aware growing up that June 6 was D-Day, and always bought me WWII books! I loved it!

Christmas Day!! it's not so bad, i never had to go to school/work, and everyone still makes a big fuss. my mom did a fantastic job of separating christmas and my birthday when i was young, and admittedly she still does (and i'm 36!). we always agreed that it's better than the 26th (christmas hangover).

@buffalove: Me too! Everyone seems to think it sucks to have holiday birthdays or one so close to Christmas, but I don't mind it one bit.

Not really a holiday, but it ALWAYS falls on Fall Break during school days (October baby) so having a party sometimes sucked since everyone would be out of town doing their own family thing.
