My DD and DH just adore each other...she giggles and coos with delight when he plays with or reads to her. DH gives her a ton of kisses and shows a lot of affection towards her. I asked him if he would be this affectionate if we have a son in the future...he thought about it and said probably not!

Our son is only a month old, but DH is always kissing and cuddling him. I imagine he'll continue to be affectionate as long as LO will let him!

DH is sooooo affectionate with our DD. We don't have a son! But I'm curious to see what it would be like to have one!

We only have a daughter. But I feel like he would be affectionate with a son too, at least when he's a baby. It's hard to not cuddle and love up on a baby, boy or girl!

What an interesting question. We have a daughter so it is easy to hug and kiss her all day long. I wonder if we would kiss a boy as much?

Our son is nearly 6 weeks old so at this point for sure, we are both extremely affectionate to him. But my husband is always very affectionate by nature so I think it will continue.

Both my husband and I are affectionate with our son. He cuddles and kisses us as well.
My dad is still affectionate with my 30 year old brother, but my husband and his parents shake hands when they see each other.

He is. And I'm so glad to see it. I grew up in an affectionate family, so hugs and kisses are much more the norm for me.

We don't have a DS yet, but DH has already vowed that he will be affectionate with all of our children. FIL was an older father (40) and was not (and still isn't) very affectionate with DH and he says that he doesn't want to be like that with his kid(s).
