There are certain kitchen/meal preparing responsibilities that I steer DH away from because he's just too enthusiastic--like if he cuts slices of cheese for sandwiches, they're SUPER thick; putting croutons on a salad, he'll use half the bag; putting butter on anything he uses twice as much as I would. He heaps dressing on his salads so that there's a big pool left when he's finished, and earlier he made me look away when he was making chocolate milk so I wouldn't see how much chocolate he used. I feel like I have to intervene because if I don't, we run out of things way too fast! I don't know if he really thinks he needs to use so much or if he just has fun pouring things out. Does your DH use way bigger quantities of stuff than you? Is it a man thing or is my husband just special?
