We didn't used to be - but we were only one hour off. It wasn't too bad, except when someone would forget and call too early in the morning or too late at night!

Since moving back, I keep forgetting and adding an hour and calling. I always call my mom in he morning, but I get up way earlier than her. Not an issue before, but I kept calling her thinking she was an hour ahead still and she wasn't! Don't think she loved the 5:45am wake up calls

Not my family. They are one time zone away.

ILs are only two hours away, so in the same time zone (EST). My brother lives in Halifax (AST - Atlantic Standard Time) - 1 hour ahead - and my parents are 1 1/2 hours ahead, in NST, Newfoundland Standard Time. It's always harder to call my parents during the week, because we have to schedule it in the short period bw when we have supper and clean up after, and when my dad goes to bed. He has to get up at 4:30 am to commute, so it's tough. I generally text with him a lot more than my mom, though, so it evens out.
