We have guards on drawers, outlet covers but we still need do something about our fireplace. I also want to do something high up for doors that lead outside...my toddlers are door opening experts right now!

my house is baby proofed enough for our needs.... she's 17m and has so little time awake in our house and she is a cautious child that listens well. We have outlet covers and guards on our lower cabinets. All the mini blind cords are cut short, she still sleeps in a crib and we have a gated off safe playspace in our living room if we need to set her down and can't watch her. Next on my list is getting covers for the stove knobs. We don't have our steps gated and don't plan to and i'll be shocked if she can open our main doors (we have a heavy slider, and our front door is bolted for the most part)

It's baby proofed, but not "smart toddler" proof, she can pretty much bypass all our stuff now. She can take outlet covers off, she can open the cupboards with the child locks on them. WE finally took the gate down this weekend because she knew how to open it and would try to swing on it, making it way more dangerous than her potentially falling down the stairs. She's pretty good about listening to us but I've moved things around (cleaning supplies on top shelves where she can't reach/see, ect.)

.... sort of? I feel like it is impossible to fully baby proof. We have a gated off "baby safe" area that is as safe as it can be for when I need to leave LO alone for a few minutes outside of her crib. We have gates at the tops of stairs and we have magnet locks on cabinets.
But there are just so many things we can't do anything about. We have some glass-fronted furniture (bookcase and media center) that are really cheap and I always worry LO could crash through them if she took a header into them. Our end tables are also cheap (damn our thrifty furniture buying hah) and really light so LO can easily pull them over on herself. We have a fireplace we can't do much about. Also seemingly harmless things are apparently dangerous-- LO liked to play with those springy door stop things and we let her because why not... well she managed to pull the rubber tip off the spring and tried to eat it. Sigh haha. Plus we have pets that are all good with LO but she's not really good with them so I don't trust her alone with them. I have basically accepted that there is no way to make our house 100% safe and I'm sort of over trying. We've removed obvious hazards but otherwise just accept that we can't leave LO unsupervised anywhere except in her crib or her gated off area.

We have outlet covers and that's it; and really he isn't even interested in the outlets.
I have used a cabinet lock for the kitchen sink, and that was mainly because I was exhausted from constantly going over and saying "we don't open these doors". Now that he's learned that, we don't need it.
Same with a baby gate. We used one simply to keep him in one room because I didn't want to constantly chase him around the house which he would be happy to do. It's not really a big deal now.

We have a couple areas that are super baby proofed (living room and nursery) where we spend most of our time. Other places are generally safe (outlet covers, drawers locked, etc.) but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them there while I ran to the bathroom or anything.

Not at all... DD is only 3 months so I'm hoping we have some time!
