Just finished watching a game at CitiField, home of the Mets. The corporate branding can be a bit much at times. For me, the tipping point was when there was a Hangman-style fan contest on the JumboTron where the correct answer was Acela Express. Made me miss the days of plain old' Shea Stadium.
Are your local stadiums named after corporate brands? Do you prefer the new name or the old one?

That's at least better than ours! It is Energy Solutions Arena, which is a nuclear/toxic waste management facility....bleagh. It used to be the Delta Center before the airlines went broke. I still call it that because I can't, in my right mind, call it Energy Solutions Arena. I feel dirty just saying it!!

Our football stadium is M&T Bank Stadium. Our baseball field is Oriole Park at Camden Yards, I don't foresee them selling out.

Yes, it's super annoying... especially when they sell out to another brand or change their name.
Most of our stadiums are new to have always been corportate, which I'm still not a fan of. We had Bank One Ballpark, which was kind of cool since we just called it BOB, but now it's Chase Field LAAAAAAME! 
I laugh in the face of change and still call it BOB.

My "local" stadiums are CitiField, Yankee Stadium, MetLife stadium, Madison Square Garden, and the Barclays Center. I don't think they'll ever change Yankee Stadium or MSG, and the Metlife Stadium doesn't bother me because the Giants and Jets share it.
I'm a Giants/Yankees fan by the way. Don't care too much about basketball.

Ours is the Canadian Tire Centre. Before that it was Scotiabank Place.

We have a TCF stadium which is a bank, and Target Field (after Target - it all started here in MN) but I just call it the Twins Stadium.
We had the Hubert Humphrey metrodome for football (VP to President Johnson), but they demolished it last year. They're building a new one and I don't know what it will be called.

Stadium, no. Our pro footbeall team plays at BC (British Columbia) Place.
Hockey though, plays at Rogers Arena, which was GM Place up till about 3/4 years ago.
We don't have a MLB team.

Levi stadium which is still being built for the 49ers. We also have SAP center, AT&T park, and Oracle arena.

@catlady: Gillette feels too far to be local but you are right about the Garden. But everyone calls it just the Garden, which is confusing to me bc the Garden is Madison Sq Garden (I'm orig from NY).

I don't think so. Angels Stadium is all I've ever known it as, and basically all I will ever acknowledge it as!!!

Yep! Sports Authority Field at Mile High (for football) has the "at Mile High" part because the old stadium was just called Mile High Stadium and people got pissed that wasn't going to be the name anymore when they sold the naming rights.
Then we have Coors Field (baseball) which is at least a homegrown company. Then there's the Pepsi Center (basketball)...

@Emsmems: wow! we moved away in 2007, surprising they changed Mile High (what a mouth full)! I've never had issue with Coors Field through, I guess beer makes all things ok

@prettylizy: At least Ford kinda makes sense since it's Detroit, but saying Tiger Stadium was definitely more catchy than Comerica Park. But they actually are replacing Joe Louis Arena! Illitch has been trying to make it happen for quite some time and it will be happening either after this season or the next. The new arena will be closer to Ford Field and Comerica, but no word on the name yet.

Yup - Citizen's Bank Park (Phillies), Lincoln Financial Field (aka, The Link, Eagles), and Wells Fargo Center (76ers and Flyers). Both the Vet and the Spectrum (the old field and arena) have been demolished.

Yep, St Louis has Busch Stadium, the Edward Jones Dome, and the Scottrade Center. We have a Verizon ampitheater as well.
