My mom is *never* on my side when I tell her about an issue/problem. What the heck! You know how sometimes you just want someone to agree with you when you are venting? Well, I know not to go to my mom for this!

My mom is usually on my side, but she will put me in my place if she feels I'm in the wrong. I will be the first to admit sometimes I overreact, and she will let me know when that happens! She does try to be supportive though if I just need a good vent.

Mine too! She's never on my side! Luckily my dad is usually on my side. When dad isn't on my side, I know I'm probably in the wrong.

@andrea: Oh no! Do you think this will affect how you'll be with your LO? (meaning, you'll always be on her side since you know how it feels to have a mom who's not always on your side?)
My mom is always always 99% of the time on my side. And I'll totally be the same with my kids.

Actually she always sides with my husband, it's pretty funny. They have a cute relationship.
But she is good about vent sessions -
