Female, she is also DH's doctor. We really like her, but she has enough energy for 10 people.

We're in a practice with one male and 3 females. I don't love the male doctor though.... he's like a car salesman. He's a good doctor with a good reputation, but I just prefer the other doctor's personalities.
Plus I had a male pediatrician when I was a kid and it was very uncomfortable during things like yeast infections and when he talked to me about puberty. I don't want LO to have to deal with that.

Male. He's nice but so far we've spent more time with the lactation consultants in the office

All three doctors at the practice we will be using are female.

@chopsuey119: we used to have a female that we LOVED, but she was kind of far so we switched to a male that's local... and i want to switch back!

I think it's important DD feel comfortable to talk to ped about anything and I think a woman makes that easier.

Ours is male. I really like him! We'll probably try to find a woman when we get back to the states though. I remember having a male pediatrician as a kid and feeling weird about it.

Female and she is amazing. I just had a male yesterday because she is on vacation and I did not like him one bit. I'm sure it was more of his demeanor that I didn't like though.

Male, but the other pediatrician in his office is a female. I like that there's only 2 of them.

Our primary is a female nurse practitioner but we will have DD/DS see whomever is available if they are sick.

Male. We were team green so we didn't know the baby's gender to have that factor in. My husband tends to be a bit shy and he said he would feel more comfortable asking questions to a male doctor so that's what we went with. We all LOVE him. When we move back home to Mass (sometime before LO starts school) we will likely get her a female pediatrician so she's more comfortable once she starts puberty.

Female. I've never had a preference as long as they are a good doctor!

ALSO... we knew if we had a boy the pediatrician would do the circumcision and my husband said "I just feel like a male doctor would have more respect for the penis". He's a special one.

Female. In fact all the doctors in that practice are female, now that I think of it! We don't have a preference though.

@MamaMoose: Haha! My midwife did LO's circumcision and she is well regarded as one of the best, our nurse was really excited when she found out she'd be doing it -- and it healed super fast, no bleeding or anything!
