We are stuck between two pediatricians and thier offices and need some help choosing which is better (Both have equal credentials- this is based on location/hours)! My husband and I work opposite schedules so he is gone for work from 5am-2/3pm and I am gone from 11am-9pm- just a couple hours of overlap in the middle.
Hopefully you Momma's have some good insight for me!

I'm in kind of the same boat! I ended up choosing the pediatrician that is about 20 minutes away instead of 5 minutes because their hours are better. Not only are they open Saturday mornings and later during the week, but they will see sick kids any hour of the day, but reserve wellness visit (for healthy kids) for the first slots of the day. The closer office only sees sick kids between--get this--3pm and 5pm.

I chose #2. If you're driving to the pediatrician, whats an extra 10-15 minute drive. If it was a super emergency, you'd be going to the ER anyway.
Our ped used to be 10 minutes away. Now it's 25.

Do you plan to breastfeed and does either one have a lactation consultant on staff? That was what helped make the decision easy for us.
Otherwise the hours of #2 are way better. Yes, you go often early on, but after a while it's every few months, so a longer commute shouldn't be an issue in the long run.

Our ped is about 15 minutes away, more with traffic. But it's not too bad a drive. I don't know that time makes that much of a difference
