I'm dreading tomorrow night....my dog is a huge wussy!

Awe! The Humane Society posted this big thing on facebook asking owners to keep their dogs inside because a lot of animals go missing trying to hide from the sound of the fireworks and then the shelter fills up with them. Poor pups!!

Yup, he HATES them. Shakes and freaks out and drools the whole time. I feel so terrible for him. He hates thunder too, but thunder doesn't last as long for such a sustained period of time. I've been thinking about getting him a 'Thunder Shirt" but haven't bought one yet, now I'm wishing I did so I could have him in it for tomorrow night.
He knows I'm writing about him. He is standing right in front of me staring right at me. Weirdo.

He hates them. He will be crated all night long with white noise.

My dog will just shake. It's just so sad. I hate seeing my dog like that.

Oh man I have no idea! We just got our pup in January, and he was born in November, so this is going to be the first time he's ever heard fireworks!

One of my cats is, but he's also a huge wimp period--he scrams and hides under the bed for an hour if someone coughs or sneezes. I'm so embarrassed for him! (the other two are like "whatever dudes").

my dog is terrified of thunder so yes fireworks are going to scare the heck out of her

@Ash: We found a kitten two years ago that had run away during fireworks!
We eventually found the owners a few days later after posting signs. My dog barks and goes crazy... I will definitely leave the white noise on for her.

Ours is usually a wimp, but she does love fireworks. I think it is because she's distracted/excited by all the kids! She loves, loves kids.

Mine had been surprisingly well-behaved tonight. I've been cleaning and she has been chilling on the couch. Now she is curled up next to me while I'm taking a break.

My dog hates it. I'm blasting his soothing music in the bathroom while he's hiding in the shower right now.

one of my dogs barks at the fireworks--the other couldn't care less.
