Yeah, he can fix stuff. If he doesn't already know how, he'll google it. It saves us a ton of money!

He loves to figure things out on his own. His dad was like that too. If he isn't sure how to do something, he'll do research until he feels confident that he can do it.

He is. Its weird for me because my dad cant fix anything, they always hired someone.

DH is pretty good with most things. Somethings I'm just better at then him and it pisses him off lol. His back has been really bad so he hasn't be able to do much of anything. I let him do what he can so he can still feel like a man. Other things he has learned to either let me do it or call our contractor who is my coworkers husband. He will come out and do just about anything for us for cheep & we always over pay him. His family hit hard times last year when their daughter was born at 28 weeks, he scratches our back we scratch his.

More than handy, semi-professional I'd say. He's renovated several houses including ours and is the kind of guy that puts together Ikea furniture without using the manual. Makes life easier when something breaks.

Oh yes. He could probably build an entire house if he wanted to.

I wouldn't say he "likes" it, but he doesn't hesitate to work on things around the house if something needs to be done. Thank goodness for google and youtube so he can learn how to do things as they come up!

Absolutely. He can't stand to pay someone to do things around the house. We are lucky that one of our best friends is a professional carpenter/general handy man so he comes and helps if something is above my husband's head.

DH is extremely handy. I'm so envious of how quickly he can pick up things. He was a huuuge help in renovations on our house and built half of the furniture in it. He can do anything, and if not he'll figure it out!

yup, it comes in handy to! Him and his dad built his home together by themselves, tehy did everything from the foundation and up themselves! it amazes me!

Yes! Thank goodness cuz he has pretty much built the whole inside of our house and he'll be doing our garage too. It helps that he's a tightwad. Hahah

Mine was never handy in the past, and then he found out he was having a SON and wanted to become handy to set a good example...very fun...for the past 15 months, he has been "fixing things" and basically insisting on doing things that I used to do...assemble furniture, little repair stuff, etc. Even though I have been more handy, now he wants to be the handy one. We'll see how this works out in the long run, lol

DH is super handy, it's really nice! He laid flooring in E's room and built shelving and is working on installing all new floors in the rest of the house now. My Dad was not handy at all, and there were a lot of repairs in our house growing up that didn't get done because no one knew how.
