I'm pretty hard to shop for, mostly because I don't really want anything.
What about your SO?

Very. For his birthday he wanted money so he can save up for a new tablet. At first I was upset because that's the least romantic gift you can give......but then I figured at least it's easy for me and he gets exactly what he wants. Win win.

Yup. He only wants really expensive things I can't afford!!

Kinda?
He doesn't need anything, so when he does need something, we'll just go out and get it together.
I haven't bought him anything since before we got married.
Now I just make him stuff

YES!!! If he wants something throughout the year, he just buys it. Plus, his birthday is 3 days before Christmas. I made the mistake of not buying both a birthday and Christmas gift one year (2 joint ones). It makes it hard to shop for major presents.

Yes & no. He's hard to shop for because it's difficult to get clothing that fits him & that's often what he is in need of. No, because I can always come up with gifts for him. I love to spoil him!

YES!!! He makes double what I make and he has VERY expensive taste. I always feel bad because he can afford to get me very nice gifts and I spend a lot less on him. But I do keep him in whimsical boxers, so what's not to love about that!

Yes! He has just about every electronic gadget imaginable, his style is unique and he likes to pick his own clothes, he has 100 bottles of cologne already, and I've already bought him 2 watches.
I HAVE NO CLUE what to get him for Christmas.

Yes. He never wants anything! I'm going to probably buy him tools this year just because I know he doesn't have any and I'm tired of borrowing them from his dad when we need some. I usually don't have a problem getting him stuff, but this one year is tricky!

ugh, YES! and if I were to get him something he doesn't like or need he'll say so I guess I can't fault him for being honest? haha

Yes--- he doesn't like spending money on himself so when I ask what he wants he tells me to save the money and not buy anything.

Yes, but only because I love suprising him and he always ruins it! A couple years ago I made this eleborate plan for a camping trip for his birthday. I talked secretly to his boss and got him some days off; I wrapped up all these little camping gifts he could open as clues to his big present; etc... and he totally blew the surprise!
I had also bought him one of those recordable storybooks for DD to give him at Christmas, and he found that (even though I hid it!). And he bugged and pestered me about his Christmas gift until he figured that one out too. I told him, from now on, if he figures out a gift he needs to just keep it to himself and pretend to be surprised when he unwraps it. Sigh. He's just like a little kid that way!

Yes! He doesn't want anything and when he does it is expensive!

@mrbee: I think he found the campground reservation receipt while snooping in my email. He denies that of course, but he's a pretty terrible liar, so I'm about 90% sure that's how he knew.
He literally opened his first mini-present (a new flashlight) and said, "Oh, we're going camping for my birthday?" Grrrrrrr....

@Honeybee: I guess that's the gift for him... being able to guess it?
pomelo / 5178 posts
@mrbee: Hmmm, you might have a point there. He does get really, really excited when he figures it out...

YES!
Someone who is really good at buying for their DH should do a guest blog post on a gift guide for men for the holidays. I have DH's birthday (next Monday), Hanukkah AND Christmas to buy for, and I'm totally at a loss.

Yes, because he always buys everything he wants before I have a chance to gift him.

Nope, he is the easiest person I know to shop for. He's a big gamer/collectible nerd, so he always has things he wants. I usually get him Legos, Star Wars toys, NES games (yeah, the old ones lol), or funny geek t-shirts. I love shopping for him!

He's really easy to shop for. I can always find something that he wants.

We are BOTH hard to shop for! Last year I finally thought of the perfect present... Inexpensive and something he didn't have but would want (a wine aerator) and then when we were out shopping for other people he suggested buying one of those and when I said No, he immediately knew and it killed the surprise. I was so mad!!!

He is very easy to FIND things for but very difficult to afford. His nickname is legitimately Diamond Jim.

Extremely hard. I get the same response every time: "I don't want anything. I don't need anything." I call malarky every time because I know he WANTS things. He just won't be honest. Haha.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Yes because we normally just go out and buy whatever he needs/wants. Items that aren't purchased are because they're BIG ticket items that I don't approve of purchasing like an AR15, motorcycle, supra, etc.
