I think better. A lot of the fathers were very gruff that I remember growing up and not always really hands on with babies. I love that my husband picks up on all of baby's tiny achievements and gets excited to see her and interact with her even at a young age. I felt like a lot of books aimed at papa's were like babies are dull, whiny and a bit annoying, you just have to deal until they get older so I guess my expectations were getting lower and lower. But he's surpassed even my happy hopes.

@mrbee: yes!! I get so many compliments about how great of a dad DH is & he really does it all without being asked or complant. I'm lucky

Our little bun is still in the oven but friends who have babies are constantly telling me how wonderful my husband is with their kids so I think that's a good sign : )
