Hi there,
did anyone purchase "it takes two to talk" dvd and has recs? Does anyone do additional (aka out-of-pocket) speech therapy for your lil one? Why? Is it worth the extra money?
Thanks

I LOVE the Baby Babble series and I swear to god it improved his speech. He just watched it the first several viewings but then he started interacting with it with us and saying so many words and sounds. He is up to 50 words now. Never tried private speech therapy so I can't help there but if we could afford it the extra time would be nice. There are a lot of Speech Pathologists on here whom you could speak to as well. .

We are doing private speech therapy with my 20 month old. We've only had the initial evaluation so far though. Our LO had fun playing with the therapist and we picked up some good tips. Our insurance allows for up to 60 sessions a year (though we are going biweekly and then moving to once a month). I think going regularly will help keep good practices to help her develop in the front of her mind.
