I had a c-section 3.5 months ago and at random times the scar will be itchy and painful at the same time. I know some of you recommended c-mama by earth baby angel mama. is there anything else that is good for an itchy scar?

are you using any anti-scarring cream like kelo-cote on it? i wish i had. the itching didn't fully subside until over a year later, and i'm left with an ugly scar! maybe applying the anti-scarring cream will prevent you from scratching?

I do a daily massage of the scar before I go to sleep that has helped with the itching and pain. I just use my bio-oil and do a massage that is supposed to break up any adhesions and help with pain. I used to have pain and itching every morning until I started doing this.

@Mrs. Bee: NoIi am currently not using any cream on it at all. I will look into an anti-scarring cream.
@mrsjazz: Wow I didnt know that bio oil helped. I will look into that too.

@Mrsbells: You could probably use any oil or cream--it's the daily massage that helps!

I'm almost 9 months pp and my scar still itches on occasion. I will make more of an effort to take care of it better if I end up with another csection

I decide to bite the bullet and buy the c-mama healing salve http://www.earthmamaangelbaby.com/postpartum-recovery/c-mama-healing-salve.html

My neighbor is 5 years out from hers and says it still hurts sometimes.
I am using ScarAway (6.5 weeks of it so far out of 8, and I am 11 weeks post partum)--the scar is looking pretty good but I don't know what it will look like once I stop the treatment.
Mine doesn't itch anymore at all, but it does hurt, especially when I work out or pick up the baby from certain angles.
*ScarAway is supposed to work on old scars, too. A friend recommended it to me after her should surgery left her with a huge scar.
My mom recommended bio-oil (also not a c-section scar though).
