@CatchAFallingStar: I did one cancelled cycle of IUI with injectables (menopur). I have PCOS so we had to keep the dosage really low so I wouldn't develop too many follicles for an IUI. Ultimately we couldn't find a dose that worked, so I cancelled the cycle, moved on to IVF and got a BFP on our first fresh cycle. Lots of injections with IVF (menopur, follistim, trigger shot, and something else that I'm can remember the name of) so although I can't help with the IUI part, I can tell you that the injections are not bad at all once you get over the weirdness of it al. My side effects were really limited to some tummy bruising at the injection side and some headaches / hotness towards the end of the cycle. I actually had less of a reaction to the injections that I did to clomid, which made me straight up miserable. Good luck!

How many cycles of this protocol did it take for your BFP?
Or, did it not work at all? We did one cycle as a practice round for IVF. But I did also use injectibles (low doses of Menopur) with TI and got BFPs from both cycles.
What was your IF diagnosis before this treatment? DOR
Were the injections awful? Side effects? Not at all...I did have a tough time the first night because it turned out I was allergic and got pretty sick, but I pushed through it because I knew it was a common ingredient in injectibles and didn't want to give up on treatments because of that.
How did you get through the TWW after? We were so busy getting ready for our IVF cycle right after that I didn't have much time to think about the TWW.

Which medications did you use? I was on a low dose of menopur with a trigger shot.

Or, did it not work at all? I only did one injectible IUI cycle and it did not work. We went on to IVF and got our BFP the first time.

What was your IF diagnosis before this treatment? Low motility for DH. No diagnosis for me.

Were the injections awful? Side effects? The injections weren't that bad, and I am extremely afraid of needles/shots. I had my DH give me the shots since I am too chicken to do them myself. I iced the area a few minutes before, but the menopur isn't that bad. It stings a little going in, but then its fine. The needles are really little.

I really didn't have any side effects other than the full feeling that Happygal described. It's almost like you could feel the medication working in you...it's a little odd but not that bad.

How did you get through the TWW after? You just manage. For my injectible IUI my DH had really bad numbers so I was already prepared for it not to work and was mentally prepping myself for IVF.

Or, did it not work at all? Cycle was canceled is was taking 75ml and was not responding, so RE bumped up dosage to 100ml well..that really did it with in 2 days I had 7-10follicles I coasted and 2days later had 14.....ekkkkkk!!!!

@CatchAFallingStar: awww, i'm sorry! is it okay to ice the area first? would that help? i don't have any experience though. hope this is the last time you have a reason to take them!
