@brownie: I am so very sorry for your loss and that you have to wait so long to try again. Hugs and

Urgh, this is one of the few times that I've wanted AF to be here in the past two years and she is hiding. I just want to get this IVF show on the road. Plus not knowing when I will have to go to the dr. is causing complications. I wish I could just take off work this whole 3 weeks but that isn't realistic. So I am anxiously waiting...on a related note, I am already dreading the TWW. How is everyone else today?

@twodoghouse: I am sorry to hear about your sister's complications. I am hoping for the best for her. Was she able to do the trigger today?

So, I convinced the doc to let us try right away. So hopefully I am making the right decision.

@brownie: Oh, that is good news, I can't imagine waiting a year if there was a chance to try again now! If that is what is in your heart, it is the right decision. All my good vibes, prayers and best wishes are with you that this leads to great things!

@Apex: he didn't he wanted me to wait 30 days. Unfortunately that won't work for my schedule as a teacher. I would have to take that whole semester off and I can't afford to not get paid for 6 months. So we would have to wait until next August. If we do it now I have at least 8 weeks at home before classes start again. I was planning on a smaller load anyways.

@brownie: I'm so so sorry about the chemical. But I'm glad that your doctor agreed to let you try again right away. I'm keeping you in my thoughts.
@kentuckygirl: The constant waiting just sucks, doesn't it? If you're not waiting for one thing, it's another. I'll cross my fingers that AF shows up for you soon! My sister is going to be able to trigger tonight and do her retrieval on Thursday. I am so so relieved for her. Her follicles are still a little small, so we are hoping they will grow enough between now and Thursday.

Popping in to give positive vibes. I've been absent due to a complication in my pregnancy (from IVF) but wanted to check in on everyone.
@brownie: So sorry about your loss. I had a chemical pregnancy in April. Luckily, my doctor allowed me to move straight to another cycle as well. That one worked!
All the other IVF ladies, hang in there. The process really stinks (well, mostly the waiting part) but it is an incredible tool. Although it took me a few IVF cycles, I am so thankful to be alive during a time where the technology exists. Rooting for you all!

@raintreebee: thank you. I have read many people have said that. I spent the last two day mourning and am now ready to drink some wine, hit the gym, and get moving to the next one. I feel very at peace with this plan. We have 3 embryos left and my husband wants to put all 3 back in (one good quality, one fair quality and one poor quality).

@Leialou: Good luck at your retrieval today! I'm sending good thoughts your way!

@brownie: I'm so sorry about the chemical pregnancy. It's great that your doctor is letting you try again right away! Good luck!
Like @raintreebee: I went through IVF and the process was so emotionally and physically draining on me but I now have my baby girl so it was all worth it! I'll be joining this thread next year when we try a FET but hopefully none of you will be left because you'll all be pregnant or have a baby!!

@twodoghouse: thank you!
I just woke up from a nice, long nap. I'm a little sore, but it isn't too bad. We haven't heard from the doctor the official count on how many eggs yet, but as we were leaving they told me DH the initial count was 11.

@Leialou: glad the retrieval went well & you were able to rest afterwards. Hope you have a great fertilization report!

@raintreebee: hey, I hope you are doing ok. I haven't heard from you, so I'm guessing things are kind of status quo?

@Leialou: Hope you're having a restful afternoon! Crossing my fingers for a great fertilization report!

@Mrs. Jacks: Yup.. Status quo. We take another blood test (AFP) next week, which may give us more info about how the placenta is doing. Scary stuff but we are hanging in there.

@Leialou: Congrats on getting through the retrieval!!! 11 sounds great. I can't wait to hear the fertilization report!

@raintreebee: I never got any of that testing and mine wa lower than yours. I'm hopeful that things will be fine for you. Remind me how many weeks now?
pear / 1531 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: 16 weeks. So severe problems/stillbirth would start to manifest in another 1-2 months I think. I think the AFP test is new in identifying placental issues after low PAPP-A. I look at the message you left on my wall all the time for hope. You are my inspiration! Thank you!

I finally got the fertilization report. We had 13 eggs and 10 fertilized!! I was at my DH's aunts with her and my MIL and I went into the kitchen and burst into tears. I'm really pleased. The transfer is scheduled for Monday morning.
