@brownie: @tequiero21: Last night's PIO shot went much better! We watched a video on YouTube with some good tips in it. So this time I was laying down, we iced ahead of time, and we picked a better spot. I think we were much too low the first time. My butt is still sore, but not nearly as bad as the first shot!
@Apex: So glad your transfer went well! Three embryos - you are so brave! Crossing my fingers for sticky babies!
@Leialou: Hope you're feeling ok this weekend and that your monitoring appointment tomorrow goes well!

@Apex: oh wow, three! That's exciting.
@twodoghouse: I'm definitely feeling full. I really hope I get the go ahead to trigger tomorrow!
I've never heard of the PIO. I have progesterone suppositories for after the transfer. Do y'all think I will have to do the shots too?

@Apex: nothing like showing your baby their very first photo as a blastocyst!

Ok, I got the call from my doctor's office - we are scheduled for our transfer at 1:30 today! We are going to transfer two, but I don't have a lot of details about the quality or if we still have some left to hopefully freeze. My coordinator said the doctor would go over all that stuff before the procedure. I am really hoping we get pictures like Apex did!
I am feeling so weird about this whole process - somehow numb? I just can't believe we made it to this point. I think after what happened with my sister in June, I just kept my expectations low enough that if we had to cancel the cycle, I'd be ok. I just can't believe it's really happening today!
@brownie: I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get great news today!!

We got our results back. We are trechnically pregnant but it was only at 12, so not terribly promising. I go back Tuesday for the second and see where we go from there.
So the option is to worry for 2 more days or poas every day and see if it darkens...

@twodoghouse: good luck today! Exciting!
@brownie: 12 is something! Fx that it doubles like crazy! How many did u transfer?

@brownie: hoping and praying for doubling by your next beta!
@twodoghouse: hoping your transfer went well!

@twodoghouse: good luck. Hope you're getting lots of rest.
@brownie: crossing my fingers for you. I've heard a few stories of levels starting low and mamas going on to have successful pregnancies. Fingers crossed your levels are just low because your draw was early and bubs are getting comfy for the next 9 months.

@brownie: Hoping for great doubling #s on Tuesday! My clinic told me today they will not even call me with my first set of beta numbers because the most important thing is doubling, not what the first # is! Just remember that in this moment you are pregnant! Congrats!
@tequiero21: @kentuckygirl: @PointeShoesTutus: thanks for the good luck wishes today . Our transfer went well although the Valium knocked me on my ass all afternoon. Lovely. here are my two day 3 embryos. The one on the right looks a little lame to my untrained eye, but the dr was positive about our chances. We will find out later this week if any make it to freeze.

I am pretty well completely falling apart with all of this. I hate waiting and having no plans. Ugh. I can't figure it out. It seems as if it was a "late implant" it would be 7 days late (yeah totally not possible right?). I want it to be a chemical so I can try again in 10 or whatever days. I don't want to be in Beta limbo.

@brownie: Hugs! How many dpt was your beta? Even with IVF, I have heard of differing times to implant and beta #s that still lead to BFPs. Hang in there!

@brownie: I am so sorry you are in beta limbo. I am really hoping that this was a late implant and that everything is ok. Hang in there!!!

@twodoghouse: I'm glad your transfer went well! Your embryos look great.
@brownie: (hugs) I hope you don't get stuck in limbo either.
I went for a monitoring appointment yesterday and again this morning. I'm triggering tonight at 8 and the retrieval is scheduled for Wednesday at 8am. I get to inject the HCG subcutaneously, thankfully, because my DH will be at work and won't be able to help.

@brownie: ugh, I'm sorry you're going through this. It must suck to have your beta date and think the waiting will be over one way or another and then have it continue like this. Do you have more frozen embryos stored? I hope it was just an odd low # and tomorrow's result will be way higher!
@Leialou: exciting!! I'm doing my HCG trigger (for an IUI though) tonight too! Good luck!
apricot / 452 posts
@Leialou: That's exciting!!! My HCG was subcutaneous too - it's much easier that way. Good luck on Wednesday!!!

@Shutterbug: Yeah we have 3 left of various quality. But the timing may not work out. Thus the hope it is just over. Then we can try again and it will work. Otherwise we wait for another year.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@brownie: My fingers are still crossed for you, dear. I've been keeping you in my thoughts.
@Leialou: @Shutterbug: Good luck with your triggers ladies! So excited for both of you.
Today my sister got some bad news. She's been going through her second fresh IVF cycle - the first was cancelled in June when her E2 went crazy high. Because of her issue with her cycle in June, she was monitored very closely and her dosages were very low so they could stim her slowly. Things were going well. On Saturday her E2 was around 2800 and they dropped her dosages again. We were hoping for a Tuesday trigger, Thursday retrieval.
Well, today's bloodwork came back and her E2 had jumped up super high again. Tomorrow she goes back in and there is a chance they will let her trigger Tuesday and still do retrieval on Thursday. It will be a freeze all cycle, but that would be fine. I'm just hoping so hard that she's able to do the retrieval on Thursday! She deals with really bad migraines and the meds for IVF sends them spiraling out of control. So I hope she never has to do another fresh cycle again. If anyone has positive thoughts/prayers to send her way, we would all appreciate it!

@twodoghouse: I am keeping your sister in my thoughts. Hopefully they let her do the retrieval. As you know, I am doing a freeze cycle, and it's really not bad. It is really great to come off of the drugs and let things settle down a little bit.

@brownie: I have no idea how betas from an IVF cycle compare to a non-IVF cycle, but at 11 dpo, my hcg was 7.8, and I am now 8 weeks. If this comparison is not quite right, I'm sorry, but I'm super hopeful for good news for you!!

@brownie: How are things looking today? i heard that FET betas are usually low to start with, so here's to hoping your betas are nice and doubled today.
