Cycle Day: 22; 4DPO
TTC Cycle #: 40-something, idk. Over 3 years.
POAS: January 10th
Baby #: 1
Your plan: If this cycle (clomid + TI) is a bust, we're moving on to letrozole + IUI.

@doxielove: thanks for starting this!
Cycle Day: 19/4dpo
TTC Cycle #: 30? Been trying since June 2012, but NTNP since Jan 2012.
POAS: Jan 12 or 13
Baby #: 1
Your plan: just TI this time. Going to get back on Clomid if this cycle doesn't work.

@doxielove: thanks for starting this! I was going to but I solely HB from my phone and it makes it hard to copy dates!
Cycle day: 21
Ttc cycle I forget. Since May 2014
POAS: the 10th!
Your plan: got bumped to 100mg of Clomid this month. We had decent timing. However I'm worried about too thin of uterine lining. My period has been 2 tampons heavy and that seems so light! (Note: I've always had light periods but not like this).
I had day 21 lab work done today to see if Clomid is even working. If I'm not pregnant I'm thinking about asking for an RE referral
Good luck to all this month!

@crystal: it's always nice to have something to look forward to!
Cycle Day: 2
TTC Cycle #: 11 (17 months)
POAS: Depends when I O. Hopefully by 1/31!
Baby #: 1
Your plan: Start Femara tomorrow. Temping, OPK's, CM, TI. Trying to take it one day at a time and not over thing or stress out! FX for all of us! I'm praying for all of us!
persimmon / 1388 posts
@LibbyLou: Ah you reminded me, I forgot to add that I'm getting my 7DPO bloodwork done, too. Thursday.
@Crystal: DPO twins!! Ready for the clomid madness again!?
@Winnie13: Let me know how you like the femara. I'm hoping I like the femara/letrozole better than clomid.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@doxielove: yes and no, lol! Since it worked, yes!!! But not looking forward to the headaches and hot flashes.
kiwi / 501 posts
@doxielove: Femara has no side effects at all! I mean, maybe a headache but I can't tell if that's from Femara or lack of water today. Lol.
@crystal: Clomid is never fun! Had a ton of hot flashes!! The things we do!
Any updates?

Just got a recorded voicemail saying my progesterone was 14.3. Which means I had a good ovulation this cycle.
I should be happy but I had a small hope that they would call and say I'm pregnant. Being that I was 8dpo when tested that's pretty silly but it happened to a friend of mine.
So, now I wait til Sunday!
Eta: I hate those voice mail box systems! I know it saves the nurse time to not have to talk to everyone but I wanted to ask some questions.

Cycle Day: 11dpo
TTC Cycle #: I don't know anymore. TTC #2 since August 2014 but have had two losses.
POAS: Tomorrow!
Baby #: 2
Your plan: Started seeing an RE this month for recurrent pregnancy loss and now on progesterone for the first time. Will do a hysteroscopy and dye test next cycle. I'm petrified.
Super happy with the progesterone so far. I haven't made it to 11dpo since 2012! Bam!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@LibbyLou: 8dpo is early!!! Hope you get some good news in a few days. I'm glad you had a strong O! My blood work for P came back at 9.8 which I guess is borderline. I am new to all these numbers.
@Winnie13: best wishes on your Femera cycle. I hope this is your answer!!
@Crystal: Always rooting for you. Hope you can escape the Clomid with a nice strong BFP this month.
@doxielove: thanks for starting up the thread. Good luck this month!!

@delight: Have you ever gotten checked for blood clotting? I say that because my friend had a baby (premie) and they started trying for their second about 2 years ago. She had 2 losses and then she finally went on baby aspirin. She's 25 weeks right now!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Winnie13: I just saw a RE for the first time a couple weeks ago and I had blood work done for lots of stuff including blood clotting disorders. I won't get my results though until our next appointment in February. I have definitely read about baby aspirin helping. It's just weird to me that I have had 3 unhealthy pregnancies and then DD who was totally uneventful. Sounds similar to your friend though, besides the preemie part.
kiwi / 501 posts
@delight: Hopefully your RE will shed some light on what's going on. It would be great if it was something as simple as baby aspirin!
persimmon / 1388 posts
@delight: I hope you will update this morning with GREAT news!!
@LibbyLou: Yay for a good P level!!
@Crystal: Yup, those are my 2 most prominent symptoms, too. Plus I feel EXTRA evil right before AF shows. Lovely.
@Winnie13: I have heard that femara has less side effects. I'm looking forward to trying it out next cycle!
As for me, I think I'm going to have to stop and get my P blood work this evening; tomorrow is just way too hectic at work for me to come in late/leave early to make it to the lab. So, hopefully 1 day early won't skew my results too much!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@doxielove: haha no news from me. BFN. I'm 12 dpo so I guess I'm out. I've always got my BFPs at 10dpo. But still no spotting so this is the longest luteal phase I've ever had! I'll test again on 14dpo just in case and then stop the P. Hope your P blood work is ok!

Slightly miffed with my OB. I called back to talk about progesterone levels. Asked about lining and they just blew me off. Then I said at what point do you refer to a specialist? And she said "we don't hold our patients hostage. You can go when you want". So I said okay, just wondering protocol. And they said 6months of Clomid. Which was last month. Which I called to ask what to do after my 6th dose. (They upped me to 100mg).
So I bit the bullet and called a RE. They got me in TOMORROW! Excited/nervous/can't believe I need to about that.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@LibbyLou: that's great!!! Good luck tomorrow!!! (And I would also be slightly miffed at your OB. Jerks.)
@delight: sounds like the P is working, yay!
@doxielove: me too, I bet I'm super fun to be around, lol n
pomelo / 5326 posts
@LibbyLou: wow you got in so fast that's amazing! Good luck tomorrow!! Was it just your family doc that prescribed Clomid in the first place? I thought you couldn't take it after 6 cycles but that's just from my internet research. I don't know anything about it. Hope the appointment goes well!
kiwi / 739 posts
@delight: yeah just my ob. I know from my research too it was the same. Which is why with the short/light periods and reading Clomid can cause that I was worried. We will see what RE says tomorrow

Late to jump in since I was away for the holidays!!
Cycle Day: 26
TTC Cycle #: 7
Ovulation & POAS date: 12/25 or 12/28, POAS 1/8 although I poas this morning and BFN
next o date 1/22, POAS 1/31
Baby #: 2
Your plan this month: last cycle was my first cycle with an RE, I did clomid cd5-9, gonal f injections, trigger/ovidrel on cd12 with TI on cd12 and cd13. I got BFN this morning so I am pretty sure I'm out this cycle, but I am not supposed to test until Friday, although I doubt i'll get a BFP after a stark white bfn this morning.
Next cycle will likely be the same plan. As long and DH is on board.
Good luck everyone I really wish you all BFP's

@delight: I had the hsg test about a month ago. It was uncomfortable but not too bad.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Ajsmommy: is HSG the same as hysteroscopy? I feel like I don't know much. I'm assuming they're similar with a camera in the uterus. I was told to take two Tylonel3s before hand. I asked to be put to sleep haha. What DPO are you now? I'm still secretly hoping for a BFP but after my stark white today at 12dpo I don't think there is much chance.
kiwi / 501 posts
@LibbyLou: Awesome!!! That's a great next step!! This is my 7th cycle of meds and if a BFN this time, we are headed to an RE!! Keep us posted!
@doxielove: 1 day won't make much difference. They are just verifying your O and want to see a number over 10!
@delight: I had a hysteroscopy done, but I cheated. It was done with my lap, so I was under!! It may be uncomfortable, but not too painful. Sorry girl!! Hopefully everything looks good!!
pomegranate / 3355 posts
@delight: The HSG is the one where they put dye into your uterus and tubes to make sure there are no blockages/etc. They told me to take some pain meds before hand too and I did. It wasn't painful for me at all but it was uncomfortable, like pressure in my tummy. And is was soo quick. Like 5-10 seconds.
I am either 10dpo today OR 13 dpo today. Fertility friend gave me crosshairs on cd17 but I took my trigger shot on cd12 so I should have o'd by cd14. I tested yesterday (9dpo or 12 dpo) and got stark white. I am so disappointed!! But I guess I should have been more realistic that it wouldn't work on my first cycle with clomid. Maybe next cycle.
If you have any other questions about starting with an RE let me know, we just started last month.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Ajsmommy: oh ok! I'm having that done at the same time. It's a camera in my uterus and then the dye test. It is what it is, I know lots of the girls here have had it done. I'm 13dpo and BFN so I'm stopping my P4. I don't imagine a positive test will show up after this but I'll try once more tomorrow. We just started last month with an RE too but it was such a quick appointment and I don't feel things were explained well. Our next appointment is mid February after our bloodwork and HSG results are in. My DH doesn't even have to do a SA. Lucky guy. Anyways good luck on your journey. I'm still hoping for a BFP this cycle but if not hopefully your second round of Clomid does the trick.

@LibbyLou: I wanted to pop in and wish you luck at your RE appointment!! Getting in next day is flipping amazing and unheard of! I had to wait several months.
Definitely look into taking something other than clomid going forward as based on the research it looks like you've done, it can definitely thin your lining and they typically stop at a certain number of cycles.
I hope that your RE has information and insight for you moving forward. I've been there and although scary, it's an exciting next step to your dream.
ps., the nurse sounded horrible. She didn't seem all that nice and wanted you to just move on. I'm SO glad you were able to get in so quickly.
kiwi / 739 posts
@NorthStar: thank you! I know I was so shocked! I think she just joined the practice but her credentials look solid!
It went well. She was very upbeat because of my age (31) and the fact I was recently pregnant. Since I'm at the end of my cycle I go back day 3 for baseline US and bloodwork. She thinks I should take the month off to get a plan and resume in feb. while that's hard to hear- I think it'll be good for me! I will need a HSG again bc of an uterus deformity but it wasn't painful (like @ajsmommy) so shouldn't be terrible.
I thought irony may be in my side, so at 11dpo today before RE I POAS. Still negative so I'm guessing I'm cheering until feb!
persimmon / 1388 posts
My 6dpo progesterone was 20.34!!! I wish I knew what it was on my first 2 rounds of clomid. I think it was around 10 on a non medicated cycle.
@LibbyLou: So awesome the RE could see you so quickly! Sucks you have to take this next cycle off, but hopefully you'll have a great game plan come February!
@delight: Ah, sorry about the bfn, but as a fellow short LP chick, that's so great that the progesterone increased your LP!

Got my blood work results and its a BFN.
Onto the next cycle. O date 1/22

Just dropping by to wish all of you luck! We're doing IVF, so I'm posting more on that page. Today is day 7 of stims, and we have ten good follicles plus a few maybes. He's guessing 8-12 eggs, "plenty to work with." Egg retrieval is likely Thursday. Hoping this works plus that we get some frozen!
kiwi / 501 posts
@doxielove: that's awesome!!
@libbylou: So glad you have a plan! It will be hard, but so good for your body and spirit to take a month off!! You never know what might happen!!
persimmon / 1388 posts
Ok, I'm confused. It's 9dpo and I'm spotting. How can I have such a great P level but still a short LP?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: fx for you!!!
@doxielove: how much spotting? Maybe implantation?
@Ajsmommy: I'm sorry. Be kind to yourself today.
@LibbyLou: waiting is never fun, but in general that sounds like a great next step!
@delight: why not a sa? The hsg isn't so bad, good luck!!
I'm hanging out at 9 DPO.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: best of luck on this first IVF cycle! I'll be stalking that thread looking for good news from you. @doxielove: that's a great P4 number! Way to go!! As for the spotting, maybe it's IB? I always spot and didn't on P so maybe it's a good sign for you!
@Ajsmommy: sorry about the BFN.
@LibbyLou: enjoy your month off as best you can!
@Crystal: I am guessing DH doesn't have to do an SA because we have always been able to get pregnant within 6 cycles. I think that's kind of weird he doesn't have to though because losses due to chromosome abnormalities could be because of sperm condition but ah well. Maybe in the future he will have to do it.
CD 1 for me. Boo. I stopped the P on 12dpo and had a 14 day LP. That's so awesome for me! I'm sad we weren't able to get pregnant this month, especially since I could have avoided the hysteroscopy. There's always next month.
O date- Jan 25
POAS- Feb 6
DD and I are headed to Florida on Feb 13th so thankfully that won't be in the middle of O week since DH isn't able to come.

@delight: I'm sorry girl! It's always disappointing! Awesome about your Luteal phase though! FX for next cycle!
persimmon / 1388 posts
I don't think it's implantation bleeding...the flow was very light yesterday and Saturday (but heavy enough to warrant a light tampon), but I have a feeling it will increase today. Either way, I'll test before I take the letrozole starting CD5, just in case! I hate that clomid shortened my already short LP (from 10 days to EIGHT!!).
@AmeliaBedilia: Wishing you the best this cycle!! I hope IVF does the trick for you!!
persimmon / 1388 posts
Update - bleeding has been nonexistant throughout today. Something is up. I'm going to test after work. Eeek!
