@bizwitch: Wow, I would have been super stressed, so glad it worked out in the end!

I hope you have a good acupuncture session!

My period just showed up, which I am actually thankful for because this cycle just felt weird. Depending on when I ovulate I'll be sticking around on this board or I'll move to early Feb!

@mrskansas: I'm sorry about AF , but glad you have an end to confusion. I get it.

@mrskansas: Gah, sorry about AF, although it's a double edged sword in a weird way. I'll probably be joining you on the Feb board! I'm gonna stick around on this board to see everyone else's POAS results.

So I don't currently have full blown AF. I've had some pink/red on toilet paper about twice today when wiping. Other times it's completely nothing. Nothing on my pad or tampon. Not sure what's going on, so I can't technically start counting my cycle days yet.

I can't stop thinking about my fortune cookie from last night: "A pleasant surprise will come soon." Here I go overthinking things again!

Ugh I can't help but worry now. I've had an ectopic, a miscarriage and now a possible chemical all in 4 months. If I didn't already have a healthy kid I'd be super scared. I'm really hoping this next cycle is it because my husband and I would LOVE an October baby

@mrskansas: sorry I'll likely join you early February. An October baby is my dream too! Ah I'm so hopeful for next cycle.

@Synchronicity: fingers crossed for both of us!

So I had two equally dark lines on an opk Friday and we DTD. Yesterday the test line was darker than the control so I was definitely planning on DTD again.... and then I fell asleep so hard. Do you think I screwed this month up?? If yesterday was O we have 0-3 and 0-1. Hoping I can manage 0+1.....

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: Sorry about AF I really hope you have an Oct baby.

@knittylady: o-1 is better than o anyways. Most babies are conceived from o-1 or o-2.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Anyone doing anything fun/interesting? I was flying home from a work meeting yesterday, and now I'm stuck in a cheap airport hotel for two nights thanks to flight cancellations. So yeah, definitely not anything interesting happening here...

@knittylady: I think you're covered! I also hear that o-1 is better than o, so I think your timing is just fine!

@periwinklebee: Ick, that doesn't sound exciting at all. I hope you get home to your own bed soon! Sundays are usually our relaxing days; we watch football, choose a room to clean, cook, then we binge watch shows or movies if there's time. We end up watching football ALL DAY sometimes. I'm heading out to the gym in an hour. Oh, and AF is here. It's like she knew I was gonna take Provera to force her out, so she showed up instead. At least she's here now and I didn't have to take the med for 10 days and wait for her to show up within a week (according to my doc).

@madisonbee: Sorry about AF but glad you are finally out of limbo. this cycle, I have my fingers crossed. That sounds like a nice Sunday!

@periwinklebee: Thanks!!! Since you'll be there for a while, are you gonna do anything fun/interesting?

@periwinklebee: it's pretty cold here right now so we've stayed in for most of the weekend, other than walking the dog and shovelling snow. I'm making a yummy brunch today, and we will do some cleaning and maybe watch a movie... Pretty quiet. Sorry you're stuck in transit!! That's brutal. Hope you get home soon!

@madisonbee: I'm both sorry and glad that AF showed up for you on her own! Hope we get some more BFPs next cycle!

    @madisonbee: your Sunday is drool-worthy!

@periwinklebee: sorry you're stuck! We had friends from CA this past week and their flights got canceled through Monday night! Luckily we could just go get them and get two bonus days!

  18. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@madisonbee: According to the weather, it's 2 degrees (F!) outside, so I'm not sure I'm going to leave this room, hah hah. May just do some work so it's done when I finally get home.

  19. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@Synchronicity: Yum, brunch!!! I have to admit that the thing I was most bummed about is that I ordered a new pan that I'd been wanting forever, and I wanted to cook with it today. But, there's always next weekend!

@knittylady: Enjoy the extra couple of days with your friends! When I visit my family they always hope my flight will get cancelled

@Synchronicity: I'm ECSTATIC that AF is here. I can finally stop taking pregnancy tests for a while, but will religiously be taking OPKs to see what this cycle is like. I hope it's not like the last one because CD59 was my positive OPK...that's a lot of sticks!

@knittylady: Our Sundays are relaxing for now. I'm sure it won't be once we have a baby! I bet your friends from CA enjoy this cold weather on your side of the country!

@periwinklebee: Gah, it's 1 degree where I am. I'm forcing myself to go to the gym and then do some quick grocery shopping since it's 2 miles from our house. And by work do you mean hanging out with us Bees?

  21. Synchronicity

    grapefruit / 4089 posts

@madisonbee: holy crap that's a long cycle. I had one like that and it drove me nuts! I ordered OPKs for this cycle too, but I've never used them before so we'll see. I also ordered a thermometer but not sure I want to dive into tempting yet.

  22. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Synchronicity: Yeah and I used an OPK the day of the surge just by chance. It gave me hope and took it all away from me this week. Gah. I wanna try temping too, since my schedule kind of works for it. Which one did you buy?

  23. snarkybiochemist

It's been snowy and cold here so we mostly stayed inside, except for a brief playtime with the puppy outside. I am enjoying sleeping in and lazy weekends while we don't have a kid. I am in the terrible 8DPO, it's too early to test and symptom spotting is crazy bc of the progesterone.

  24. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@snarkybiochemist: Have your symptoms from earlier subsided a bit? I know you were feeling awful.

  25. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@periwinklebee: I can't remember if you mentioned, but have you told DH yet about your BFP?! Or were you gonna wait until tomorrow's test?

  26. Synchronicity

    grapefruit / 4089 posts

@madisonbee: Hmm, I think it was Easy at Home brand? Options were limited on Amazon Canada and I wanted to order from there since I was getting Wondfo OPKs and HCGs anyway. American Amazon blows ours out of the water. Maybe we can dip our toes into temping together! Haha. I mentioned it to DH and he was on board since he gets that my control freak side is having trouble with this process.

  27. Synchronicity

@periwinklebee: ah I hate not being home for deliveries. Apparently it feels like -23 here today (-9F) so I'm not venturing out either!

  28. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Synchronicity: Those are the OPKs I use too! Which thermometer did you get?

  29. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@madisonbee: I'm still feeling off, still functioning but wishing I could sleep a lot more. I think I got 11 hrs last night and still feel blah. My digestive system is still off as well. It is likely all the progesterone, but I feel different then last cycle on the progesterone.

  30. Synchronicity

    grapefruit / 4089 posts

@madisonbee: Easy at Home BBT it looks kinda big and clunky but all of the options that I had got really mixed reviews, so I just picked one and went with it.

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@madisonbee: since we got AF around the same time maybe we'll be ovulating around the same time too! We can obsessively take OPKs

  32. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@Synchronicity: @madisonbee: I also use the easy at home brand. Gets the best ratings on Amazon US. First batch was great. Second batch I think the test line was more sensitive, so they always look closer to positive, which is a bit annoying but still fine. I started temping last summer and it has been less of a hassle than I expected.

@madisonbee: Hah, hah. I need to get real work done, and work out. But I didn't even bring running clothes, so the latter isn't happening. I told my husband last night over the phone (facetime wouldn't even work with subpar hotel internet). I was going to wait til I got home, but I didn't really feel right waiting until Monday night. And in case of a chemical, I kind of wanted to tell him before that had a chance to happen. It is a weird thing to throw out in the midst of a random phone conversation. I started by saying "guess what happened yesterday" and his response was "um, Trump got in a twitter fight wth Arnold?" I was thinking, hm, not what I was going for, I'm just going to have to blurt it out

@snarkybiochemist: 8dpo is the worst. I hate the period between 8-12dpo where it very quickly goes from too early, maybe too early, probably out, AF. I am so hoping that this is your month!

  33. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Synchronicity: Oooooh, that's what you meant! Duh. I'll have to check that out sometime.

@mrskansas: Yours will probably be more predictable than mine! My body is WEIRD.

I thought I had AF this morning, but my pad has been stark white and now I don't see anything when I wipe after using the bathroom. I stopped myself from digging around in there like, hello, come out come out wherever you are! So I guess I'm back to spotting? If I can even call it spotting. I've had pink/dark brown/dark red CM on toilet paper in the last 2 days. This is a total mindf**k. I quit.

  34. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@periwinklebee: exactly and all my discomfort can be blamed on progesterone or pms or pregnancy. I'm in that waffling btwn hopefully and not right now.
I'm sorry you couldn't have a cute way to tell your husband, but I'm glad you got to tell him. Hopefully nothing happens and this sticks.

  35. Synchronicity

    grapefruit / 4089 posts

@madisonbee: yes haha I probably wasn't super clear. You are having such a wonky cycle! When is the last time you POAS? I know it's a bit of a waste of money but....

  36. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@madisonbee: So sorry, the limbo sucks. I had one month where I had brown spotting for three days and when I put it into my app, it informed me that brown spotting is a common pregnancy symptom. Of course, I got BFNs the whole time and finally got AF. That made me give up on figuring out what's going on as well.

@snarkybiochemist: FWIW, this month I didn't even have any of the symptoms I usually spot - no tender breasts, sensitive smell, brown spotting, etc. I think it's so hard to tell at 8dpo, even w/o progesterone, which I'm sure makes the symptoms a million times worse.

  37. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Synchronicity: @periwinklebee: I didn't even think about POAS. Maybe I will tomorrow if there's still nothing going on. I don't usually spot before AF. She typically comes full force with cramps as warning signs.

  38. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@periwinklebee: I know. I'm not feeling too much either way just tired and blah and dealing with digestive issues. With all the meds I'm on it's hard to know what causes what

  39. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@snarkybiochemist: I'm sorry about all the meds - that sounds like it really sucks. Holding my breath that you'll have some good news this week!

@madisonbee: I would POAS if AF hasn't arrived by tomorrow!

  40. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@periwinklebee: the meds suck but if they get me and keep me pregnant it will be worth it. I just might be one and done.
