Can I just say, I'm really happy to see all the

My OPK became darker this morning, almost like last night's was a fluke. I hope this afternoon is my positive so we can get down to business! (And I had a dream last night that I was carrying around a little baby boy all over Disney World

How do you guys calculate your O day? Is it the day of LH surge? Day after?

@bizwitch: The day after. I usually take OPKs up to 3 days after to see if it actually fades out.

Oh and I'm only 3 or 4 DPO but I am SO irritable. I want to smack DH every time he asks me a question. It doesn't help that he asked for help folding a twin sheet the other night as we were cleaning & prepping for our friend's visit. Which actually didn't need to be folded, because it was going right back on the guest bed. Which he would've known if he thought about it for two seconds. Or if he ever took the initiative to purchase things for our home, like sheets, he would know that we only have one set of twin sheets for the guest bed. Obviously not a big deal but it still drove me CRAZY. I was like, you're a grown-up do I really have to hold your hand through this?

@bizwitch: Ok, that was TOTALLY me a few days after O last cycle! DH was just annoying to me--sometimes for no reason. Like, he's sitting there watching TV and I look at him and just get so irritated. We weren't getting along during Christmas because of it. Oops! It passed after a few days, which we were both thankful for.

@mrskansas: I think your BD timing is great! That OPK is def way darker.
Our last BD was late Wednesday night (technically 12am Thursday) so I'm hoping we can do it tonight when he gets off work at midnight.

@jhd: same here. I'm sure DH sees the OPK wrappers in the trash but has no clue what they are (I think).

@jhd: Yep I do that too. My husband would think I was nuts lol.I'm definitely going to BD 2x tomorrow and Monday morning just to cover the bases. I just hope it's positive when I take a test tonight!

So my 11 am OPK was almost positive (the one I posted above, it was darker in person). I just took one at 6 and it was definitely negative.
Is it possible to surge that quickly?? -
@mrskansas: AH! I'm going through that! My 8am one was darker today and my 6pm one was like more faint than the beginning of my OPK testing. What is going on with our bodies?!

@mrskansas: If you already surged or O'd then at least you've got the BDing covered. I took another one and it's a little darker again? I'm gonna pounce on DH when he gets home and then in the morning.

@mrskansas: I have given up! We are just going to keep up with daily sex for now and I'm hoping my temps will show an ovulation spike so I'll know it happened. Frustrating!!

I think I may be out this month before I'm even in. I got an almost positive OPK tonight after a negative this morning but we are unable to BD and haven't for the last few days due to work. Grrr... Here's hoping MIL is late coming tomorrow for her surprise trip (!!!) and we can get one session in.

Ok I need another set of eyes. Do you guys think I had a positive OPK on CD13 (yesterday morning)? It didn't look positive to me after a few minutes, so I thought whatever. Or is it getting close? 🤔

I think that OPK yesterday was my positive because this morning I had some cramping and brown spotting. I have never experienced that before but from what I've read it makes sense.
I'm going to keep using opks for a few days to confirm. This is so annoying -

Is spotting during ovulation pretty common? I dunno why I haven't heard of it.

@madisonbee: I have no idea. Ive never experienced it before. It may not even be from that though. We BD'd 3x yesterday so maybe just irritation? I did have a lot of EWCM today so I don't know! I know I will ovulate if I haven't already and we've been having sex so I'm just going to relax

This is such a strange cycle. I've had a lot of cramping/pain on my left side so along with the brown spotting I either ovulated or something is wrong with me, lol. Guess only time will tell.
If I did ovulate, it better have been two eggs with all the discomfort I've had today!! -

My OPK this afternoon was super faint. I even took two. I'm dumbfounded. I feel like I missed my surge.

@madisonbee: hmm. Weird. If your cycles have been long after coming off BC I would bet you're still a couple of days away.
You don't have PCOS do you? I've heard that can cause darker OPKs throughout a cycle. -
@mrskansas: No, I don't have PCOS. If this cycle doesn't pan out, I'm gonna invest in the digital OPKs. This is driving me bat sh!t crazy.
