@periwinklebee: hang in there! I feel the same way with being at peace with where we are at. I feel like it might be unnecessary for us to go through all the testing now (I was really motivated to get things done when I made the appointment) but the appointments have been made and the labs have been ordered for DH so we will just stick with it. But yeah, I'm ok with being where we are in life and it will eventually happen for us all

@Mrs. K: I feel exactly the same. I really hope your appt goes well. I think having some basic tests will give me more peace of mind. If something is wrong it will be good to know and have a plan, and if not I think we will try some more and just kinda go with the flow for awhile longer before pursuing any more invasive treatments.

Whoa! This board has been hopping!

I'm symptom spotting with all of you in spirit. Still pre-O for me.

@Mrs. K: I found having answers and a plan really helped me out, but your mileage may vary. If it feels too much to fast you can always decide to wait on treatment for a cycle or two once you know what's wrong.
I will be starting progesterone support tonight, last cycle it gave me some symptoms which made the tww extra complicated.

AF here today, so I can legit begin TTC! It came a day earlier than I thought but since I O late I'm looking at around the 22nd, so the 31st is still pretty feasible to test. I found out with LO1 at 9DPO!

Like a maniac I went ahead and did an FRER with afternoon pee after drinking tea all day. Of course it was negative! I blame being off work and sick and bored with Netflix not working, LOL! No harm no foul I guess, except for the $10 I wasted.

BUT! These zits keep popping up! I got two more on my lip today!! So weird.

So last cycle my nails were strong and amazing, this cycle they are flaky and brittle. I am taking the same prenatal so I have no idea why this is the case. I start progesterone supplements tonight, yay for vaginal suppositories.

@snarkybiochemist: oh my gosh interesting you should mention this because I thought I was imagining it but I am experiencing the same thing! I've actually noticed that they've been flaky for awhile now... only felt strong the first few months I started the vitamin. What do you take? I take Rainbow one prenatal.

  21. Mrs. K

    apricot / 308 posts

@snarkybiochemist: Initially I felt like too much information gave me anxiety but at this point I feel simply better prepared the more I know. I think the tests will help at least answer the questions that float around in my head about whether or not everything is working the way it's supposed to. Right now I'm trying to balance staying positive and not letting each BFN get me down while trying to keep my expectations realistic. The cycling of emotions is so draining!

Taking the plunge and joining the thread...

Cycle Day: Not sure, mid-late 20's?

    TTC Cycle: One

Ovulation Date: just prior to Christmas but I'm not 100% sure that I actually o'd

POAS Date: mid January (but only if I'm late)

    Baby #: 3!

What's up this month: First cycle of trying for a 3rd bebe, still bf'ing my wee guy (21 months) but my cycles have been pretty regular since they returned. January also marks five years (!) of either being pregnant or breastfeeding (or both).

For Fun: Any new year resolutions? Get off the sugar and eat less. Also working on strengthening my glutes and lengthening my hamstrings in an effort to get rid of my constant lower back pain.

@knittylady: hey there!! I have a 7 day lp, so I tested yesterday and bfn. Af is due today at 8dpo. I had to pee so bad I didn't test lol. If I make it to 9dpo I'll test tomorrow! Regardless, we have a plan to at least start progesterone this cycle if not a full blown clomid cycle,

  24. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@Mrs. K: I take a generic cvs one, I think its the equvilant of one a day. Information calms me and with my weird unpredictable cycles I knew I didn't O every time. Working with a doctor makes sure I do. I also was reassured that all of my husband's parts were working too. The emotional parts of this are worse then anything else, I could deal with my periods physical side effects better if I also wasn't upset that I wasn't pregnant. The rollercoaster of the tww is hard too.

I'm feeling very not pregnant. I don't have any of the same symptoms that I had when I was pregnant in Nov (maybe that's good since it ended in MC!) but it's still discouraging. I'm 9 DPO today even though I'm still not totally sure I ovulated! Ugh.
Oh and I stupidly tested this morning and of course BFN. I'm going to try to wait a few more days but it's hard when I have so many cheapies!

  26. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: I'm sorry you are feeling discouraged. I know what its like to question if you even ovulated.

  27. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@snarkybiochemist: I know I've seen somewhere that you've mentioned this before but now I can't find it. Have you struggled with anovulatory cycles? Are there any obvious signs of not ovulating? I don't temp so I really have no way of knowing.

  28. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: I'm sorry, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I feel like for me symptoms don't mean much, as they seem to vary a lot without much rhyme or reason. I know there are others on here who've had the cycle with their sticky baby be the one without symptoms.

  29. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@periwinklebee: Yeah I'm not counting myself out yet. I'm definitely not gloating when I say this but I have conceived every month I've tried (just unfortunately 2/3 of those times ended in loss) so I would be surprised if it didn't happen this month too.
The positive thing is that the dreams I did have before my last BFP were about miscarriage and I took that as some sort of warning sign for what was to come, so I'll take no dreams!!

  30. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: I have had anovulatory cycles, I was temping so it was pretty obvious that I did not ovulate. Beyond that I took several pregnancy tests based on the latest possible date I could have ovulated and when they were negative I went to my doctor for provera.

More symptom spotting! Woke up SWEATING last night despite the fact that we set our heat at 55 degrees overnight. That normally does not happen. Makes me think maybe my temp is up more than normal...?

@knittylady: Yes! I have one FRER but I'm going to TRY to wait until next week to use it if I don't get my period. I'm seriously considering having my husband hide all my Wondfos.

  36. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@mrskansas: I had that exact same thought last cycle, and didn't end up having him hide them... I'm considering the idea again this time around since it really only brings misery.

@knittylady: Yeah I'm pretty sick of testing. Just a few weeks ago I was hoping for a negative test and now all I want is a positive!

    Gaaaah can I just vent?

I got into work today and as my elevator stopped to let a few people on, a couple of them were congratulating this newly pregnant woman (who announced it on FB I guess) who was talking about how "oh we didn't even really try!" and "I got knocked up just like that!" I fake smiled my way through that ride and walked into my office, only to be greeted by a co-worker saying "hey! how are things? anything new for the new year? babies, perhaps?" I fake smiled again and said "Nope. No babies!" *insert every bad word I can think of*

    Ok. I'm done.

@bizwitch: Those hot flashes sure are uncomfortable--your symptoms overall are making me so hopeful for you. Fingers crossed!

@mrskansas: I'm not feeling very pregnant anymore either. I was hopeful last week when I had all these symptoms and swore that I had implantation cramping on 6DPO last Thursday, but since the weekend, my body's been "silent." BFN this morning with a cheapie. I have so many cheapies on hand too; I'm trying to avoid POAS twice a day but a part of me feels like my BFP will be with evening urine since my cramping was more pronounced Thursday night

@Kemma: Welcome, welcome! And baby dust to you!

@snarkybiochemist: I still have my Provera on standby. DH and I have been doing other things but BD-ing in case I don't get a BFP. I'm hoping I won't need to take it. I ovulated on CD58 so I don't even know how long to wait for AF or an answer on HPT.
