@madisonbee: Those questions are the worse and pregnancy announcements just hurt, even if you are happy for the person.
How long is your luteal phase typically? Otherwise wait 14 days test and then take the provera

@madisonbee: THE WORST!! I had two co-workers announce in one day. One who was like 4 months along and about to start showing, and the other whose wife was about 4 months along too. They were "surprise" pregnant with their third - and they are only in their mid 20s! I am in my mid 30s so needless to say I was crazy jealous. That was a hard week or two, because then everyone in the office (open office plan) was talking about babies, baby names, their "plans" (lol), etc. I wanted to scream!!!

Thanks for the , I did another cheapie this morning and got a BFN. AF due today, tomorrow or Thursday... fingers still crossed!!

@mrskansas: Yeah, it's everywhere! I have no idea really how long my luteal phase is. I went off the pill on 9/19. AF was 9/23 - 9/26. I O'd on 10/2 and AF arrived on 10/27 (that witch...after so many promising symptoms!), so a 25 day LP?! I'm 11DPO today.

@snarkybiochemist: The pregnancy announcements do sting, and I haven't been TTC for long so I feel mostly for other bees here and other friends who have been TTC for a long time as well. Like I mentioned above, my last LP was 25 days. My body isn't very reliable!

@bizwitch: No kidding! I would probably scream too! I'm happy for people when this happens because who knows how long they've been trying, but still. I throw myself a pity party for 5 minutes then try to let it roll off. TRY!

I really struggle with announcements lately too. One girl I work with is due the same day I would have been with my ectopic and they just found out the gender. A close friend is due in July and I also was until I had the MC. It's hard but I try to remain positive that it will happen for me too.
I'm really trying to remain hopeful that this could be my month and just want to keep POAS like a crazy person!

@madisonbee: I haven't even been trying a year, but I have problems so its going to take medications and a doctors intervention to get pregnant, so it really stings seeing the announcements. Good luck figuring out when to take provera if you decide to.

@snarkybiochemist: I am so so so rooting for you! Especially with what these medications put you through. I appreciate your advice. I think I'll take the Provera if in the next week or two AF doesn't show or I can't get a squinter on FRER.

@mrskansas: Ugh, I can't imagine how that must be. I'm sorry for your losses. I'm glad we all have each other to talk to and there's no judgments from anyone--no matter how many cycles any of us have been trying and the different hardships we've all been through.

@madisonbee: thanks for the support, this site is great for connecting with other people who are going through this

@madisonbee: Yes it's great to be a part of a group of women who "get it" no matter what.

Before joining hellobee I felt so alone with my losses. I'm 24, very healthy and had a healthy baby conceived on the first try so I felt like I didn't "fit" the mold of someone with multiple losses. But after joining I realized I am not alone and it has helped tremendously!

@mrskansas: I completely agree! Since we decided to ditch BC, I've been a lurker at many message boards. I randomly found this site when I googled my dpo and bfn status and saw a post by one of the bees who lived in another country and everyone was on pins and needles waiting for her to POAS and in the end she had a BFP after her friend or sister made her pee in a cup. The amount of support and excitement everyone had was astounding.

Then I go to other boards and read how catty some women get when people ask questions. I mean...some people are not allowed to announce their BFPs without a warning or disclaimer because others might get hurt (which I get), but the way they come across is very Mean Girls TTC version.

In short, I bit the bullet and joined this site because everyone has been SO nice and supportive....and NICE!

@madisonbee: I absolutely can't stand that kind of talk. I try to remember that people who have never experienced "trying" or a loss just have no way to know, but I still wonder where the empathy gene is on that....

@madisonbee: Every time someone on here gets a BFP it gives ME hope that mine is right around the corner! No disclaimer needed.

Hopefully all this weepy emotionality that we're sharing on here today is a good indication of some BFPs coming down the line...

  24. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@madisonbee: I definitely prefer FRERs over every other test. They are more sensitive than Wondfos even I think!

This is totally random but out of the two times I've been in the bathroom at work today, three people have walked out without washing their hands! Seriously- adult women can't at least pretend the wash their hands?! Gross.

  27. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@mrskansas: Gross. I feel like women are more gross than men. I've walked into some men public bathrooms (don't ask) and they're not as messy. Sure, it smells sometimes, but they don't have TP all over the place and the toilets are flushed.

P.S. If you're gonna pretend to wash your hands, you might as well wash them.

Can I just jump in and say that if you are considering buying FRERs, buy them at Walmart (if you're in the US). I have been buying FRERs at CVS for almost double the cost. I was at Walmart recently, and decided to buy a a couple of FRERs just in case. My mouth dropped at how cheap they were in comparison to CVS (of course, that means I test twice as much now, )

I don't know if this is something everyone knows, but thought I'd share it anyways!

  29. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Babybeeforme: Good to know! I've been buying them at Walgreens and Target around my neighborhood, carefully alternating stores so it doesn't look like I buy them weekly (even though I do). I'll have to check out Walmart then!

  30. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

    @madisonbee: @Babybeeforme:
I always buy them on Amazon! I've actually found that they are cheaper than Target and the same price as Wal-Mart. And I have prime so they arrive discreetly on my front porch in 2 days
