Dang! That boy's parents owe her big time! They're so lucky she was there to catch him!

That's pretty awesome.
We just removed our child safety guard so we can put it in our A/C, those parents are crazy using cardboard in the space around the A/C. Babies are too nosy and adventurous. I'm happy she was there.

That happened in my neighborhood and it totally blew up on the parenting boards. I dont know how the parents on the board got the info but they're saying that the parents were asleep and there were no beds or food in the apt.
when I sent the article to DH yesterday I asked him if he though the parents should have been arrested and he said no. He didnt know about the no food or beds thing. what do you guys think about that

@bunnylove08: Even without the additional information about the conditions in the home yes I think it was right for the parents to be charged with reckless endangerment given the situation.

@bunnylove08: Wow, I'd been wondering all day what the kid was even doing out there in the first place. That is so sad, but hopefully this will get the little boy some help.
ETA: I see it says they were asleep and later charged at the end of this article. That baby is so lucky he's safe! http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/joe-torre-daughter-save-baby-catch-brooklyn-yankees-cristina-torre-212225431.html

I'm glad to see the parents were charged. When I was 4, my parents left me and my cousins with two babysitters who forced us to stay in the living room and play while they did their own thing in another part of the house. I fell out of a two story window and landed head-first on a brick patio and barely survived after emergency surgery and a week in the ICU. I don't know what ever happened to them, but I get really upset when I hear stories like this, clearly teh child must have been unsupervised for a good amount of time if he had time to find his way outside and climb out like that.
