I caved and tested yesterday - stark white. I was only CD10, so there's still hope but dang... feeling really down about it.

@raspberries: damn those BFNs! But youβre not out yet! It is really hard to not get sad about them though βΉοΈ
nectarine / 2358 posts
Iβm a BFN here, I can feel AF headlining in to town and scant pink spotting started. BFNs for dayyyyyys. Iβll be cheering you ladies on but since my cycles are so long I wonβt be able to POAS until September.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@raspberries: @Mrs.Panda: I agree, ladies. Raspberry is still pretty early but EVERY BFN [until a BFP] seems like a defeat. Raspberry, I am hopeful for your beautiful BFP. Mrs. Panda, how have you been?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Mrs.Panda: And NOW, I see your update. I'm sorry. Wow, you really do have long cycles! We will be thrilled to have you back on the Sept board!
I haven't tested since I have POAS PTSD after 9 dpo (which I know is early) for some reason π€¦ββοΈ ... I take BFNs really hard after trying for so long and can't stop blaming myself for not being able to reproduce.

@Lazb: I need your expertise and honesty. The month of your laparoscopic procedure for Endo, did you have cramping from ovulation on? I'm 13 dpo and have intermittent cramps (very uncomfortable) ALL times of the day, as well as, occasional sciatic pain. All my other P4 driven symptoms have disappeared since this morning. π€·ββοΈ

@Kaohinani: itβs been so long, I honestly donβt remember, sorry! I do know that the months Iβve gotten bfps I get cramping, so hopefully itβs that!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@LAZB: Thank you for responding so quickly. It is okay, I appreciate any information you can afford me. Hopefully, I will get a BFP but these cramps are a bit more severe than those I had with DS ... of course, I hadn't had surgery that go around (nor with DD).
Shame I have a 16 day luteal. π€¦ββοΈ

My only comfort and sense of "maybe," is that both Pili AND Luna are super-cuddly (* but they were also that way the week following surgery. π€¦ββοΈ)

@Sams Mom: Ahhhhhh, thank you. π€ My last 2 pregnancies were so symptomatically dissimilar that I wouldn't even know what to expect with a third. π

@Sams Mom: Is your crazy lab being super ginger with you? Luna (1-1/2 year old lab-pit) has become a different puppy since I returned from the hospital and has been incredibly sweet lately . . . Pili is attached to me but minimally. At this point, I know I should test. I took one out this morning and had a panic attack so, back it went. π€¦ββοΈ

@Kaohinani: yeah, he's kind of left his post with Sam a little to be constantly by my side.

@Sams Mom: Okay, thank you. Good to know. Luna is by my side of the couch (while G harasses her) and, atm, Pili is on my lap as a heating pad.

Random rant - Not TTC/TWW/POAS related. I am upset. UPS supposedly delivered my packages (from Amazon prime day) and "I" signed for them but *news flash* I was home and DID NOT sign because NO ONE CAME! I have a 2 dog-alert when ANYONE even thinks to approach my door! So, I just spent an hour on the phone with UPS and Amazon and the best that can be done is to send out a search request which will be valid for 8 days!!! I understand accidents happen, but, NO, this was withered delivered to the incorrect home or the delivery guy forged my hand and has my boxes. I hate thinking the worst of people but, c'mon, now ... Who does this?!?!?! These were gifts for my kids! π€¦ββοΈπ€¬
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Kaohinani: They should be able to produce a signature or a photo of the packages where they were left. Standard practice now. That sucks though!

Totally forgot to take my 3 doses of progesterone as prescribed by my RE. Remembered at like 9:00 tonight! Wow. I hope I didnβt totally screw things up. With my first, I was so totally on top of that kind of stuff. Not so much now that I have two kiddos already!!
@Kaohinani: keep checking to see if youβve tested!!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: I asked about that, but because it was "after hours" for deliveries, they will have to return call with me today and see if the driver followed protocol. If nothing can be determined, it may take the full 8 days for an investigation.
@CatchAFallingStar: I always set an alert on my cell phone AND on my Fitbit to remind me of my meds. Things get pretty crazy [with the 2 kids, 2 dogs, DH, and 2 "jobs"] that, if I don't set something, I would forget the morning Crinone or 7 pm injections.
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Kaohinani: Another thought (that doesn't help for this instance, but maybe later on) - we got one of those front porch cameras and it has been a game changer for porch pirates. We've turned two people into the police who have been tried and convicted. It also helps with general disputes like this about whether things were delivered at all. As you know, DH and I work crazy hours and order EVERYTHING online, so this was a no brainer for us. We also live in a pretty urban area, so also another reason. We have Arlo cameras, but Ring and Nest are also supposed to be good.
Oh, and also keep popping in to see if you've tested. No pressure.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: Thank you. Getting a new porch camera would probably be a wise investment (we had one at our old residence but it was damaged in our move because the packers/movers threw it is a box with some of DH's tools! ). I haven't purchased one bc we are in a "safe" more established neighborhood (HOA) with primarily retired military and older residents ... I hadn't thought of using it for monitoring deliveries. π€¦ββοΈ
As far as me and my POAS endeavors, I'm going to wait it out until I am due for AF and see what happens. Today is 14 dpo ... my LP is usually between 16-18 days long (so cruel to have such a long LP! π) All of my P4-driven "non-symptoms" have died down and all I have now are minor (sporadic) cramping down low, some bloat, and an occasional "hot flash" which I blame on temps being being between 98 and 102 all week long. π€·ββοΈ I do hope AF stays away and I get a strong BFP but my expectations are pretty low.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: So UPS called. The dispatcher spoke with the driver. He remembered the house he delivered to (but it was at the other end of my street in the 200-block, not the 400-block where ) and was stucco (and mine is NOT). A signature was never given, but his system automatically marked it for both boxes. He will be stopping by the other house to collect the delivery this afternoon.

Hello helpful ladies!
My friend is ttc and her period was taking forever (like CD 40something) so she went to her GP yesterday and he gave her some BCPs to restart her cycle. Well, I told her take a pregnancy test and it showed up positive this morning!
She took one birth control pill yesterday. Will that affect anything?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Eebolleh: I wouldn't think so, it's a regular daily dose and not multiple pills. I know a lot of birth control pill babies π€·ββοΈ
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Eebolleh: No, ma'am. A single pill would not adversely affect/effect fetal growth or development. My DD was conceived while I was taking orthoTricyclen to regulate a heavy cycle (ironically, now I have super light cycles π€¦ββοΈ). The efficacy of the BCP was compromised by my anticonvulsant (Topamax) and, voila, I realized I was pregnant around 6 weeks. I quit the pill and had to go off the anticonvulsant. After scans, tests, amniocentesis, etc. DD was determined to be fine. Congratulations to your friend and tell her not to worry.

Forgive me as it is not a study or scholarly test (only a blog article); but it is still reminiscent of your concern a bit ago.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: EXACTLY! I also had a lot of pain post c section on the left side, and done you usually hurt more on the opposite your doctor was because of the spreaders?
I don't know...
But this pregnancy past c section is weird so far.

@Sams Mom: I had no early cramping with DD (but terrible MS, cravings and 1st trimester fluid retention [swelling]). I DID HAVE cramping (more of a stretching, achy feeling with occasional AF-type cramps towards my right side) with DS. As you know, DS was my #2. The sensation of the scar tissue stretching and location of cramping from DS sounds very similar to what you've been having. Note - If I am BFP now (seems unlikely at this point), I have been having intermittent aches low and sharper "cramps" that last an hour or so, then dissipate for a bit before returning. (Mine have been since 5 dpo.). It would be after 2 csections and a laparoscopy, so one would assume it would feel "different." Of course, for me, I could just be healing from the surgery. π€¦ββοΈπ
In any case, just wanted to share the blog article with you.

So I had an appointment on Tuesday and my doctor told me that the odds for natural conception are still extremely low. My hormones snapped back to normal with meds, but things are not looking good for SO. He has one more appointment with another doc in a month, but nobody is very hopeful and we will start preparing for IVF in November. My next appointment is in September.
I had an US during my appointment and while we haven't been doing the deed much, no hope and motivation at the moment really, my doctor said to go for it that evening as OV was really close. I was almost sure we were out this month, but now it looks like we hit 0-1 and gave ourselves a (really slim) chance, my POAS date is 31.07.
I'm enjoying my vacation, but it has been a bit too busy for my liking. I have been meeting people and going to places and on top of that I'm in the middle of a work related situation, that stresses me out a bit and I haven't been sleeping well. I'll elaborate when things have worked out.
Today is a bit better, it's half past one and I'm still in my PJs.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@paranundrum: While I am extremely glad that you are having a nice vacation (albeit it's not as relaxing as you'd hoped); I am also so sorry to hear of your fertility news. Even a fraction of a chance is still a chance and is better than nothing. I am happy to read that your medications helped to regulate your hormones (which a big step in the right direction). While IVF may not be what you and your SO were hoping for (trust me - I know how it feels to receive the news that IVF my be one's "best hope."), it could afford you your BFP. Just having a plan to move forward is always more comforting that having nothing at all. I will add you to our July roster. I am hoping that a BFP comes along and proves all the specialists wrong. π€π€π€π€
